Oh, that's crap. I'm sure there are different degrees of autism. I have an autistic friend; she is completely incapable of normal social interaction face-to-face, and everybody who meets her in person thinks she's retarded because she won't look at you when she talks (IF she even talks to you; usually when she's spoken to, she'll turn away and not answer, or sometimes she's so in her own little world that you can say something to her five times and she won't react in the slightest.

But she practically LIVES on Facebook, which is her social outlet, and reading her highly witty comments, you'd never think she was anything other than an ordinary -- and may I add, highly intelligent -- person.
