This was made in 1961 when Regan was still a member of the democratic party.


Regan switched parties in 62.

He lays out the facts rather well, they ramp up costs so you can’t afford things on purpose, 50+ years of this.

They created an issue over the decades to propose a solution.

This is why The US spends more % of its GDP on health care than any other industrialized nation in the world; 17.9% in 2011.

I love my Obamacare and if they decide that I don't get 5 million bucks to live 6 months to 5 years longer I think that is right. I have seen life extended by extraordinary means and it kinda seems like there might be more suffering and for a longer time. And other countries aren't doing it because it costs to much, we should stop to. :)

I deal with health care every day. I’m going blind; I have a very rare form of glaucoma, less than 0.05% of all cases. In 95% of cases the first symptom is sudden and permanent blindness. Because of this there was no treatment for what I had, I ended up paying out of pocket for an experimental surgery never before tried, I put it off few weeks and ended up being the third person in the world to have the surgery. The first two are already blind now. I’m the case study for the world now.

Under the new health regulations I would not be allowed to have an unapproved surgery let alone the 4 surgeries I had paid for out of my own pocket. The surgeries my doctor and I pioneered with my own money are now being used on people all over the world with my disease, best thing I ever did in life. I would be blind already if we had not done what we did, if it would have happened 5 years from now I would have no recourse and no one would have benefited from what we did to me as an experiment.


I take my health very personal; no one needs to be in a situation where they have no options ever. BTW I have lost 1/5 of my optic nerve tissue in my eye in the last 2 years meaning 100% blind in less than 8 years even after the 4 successful surgeries. Truth is once the never is degraded enough it is over, that will happen way before 8 years is up, but how current health care is poised to proceed I never would have had a chance to still have sight.

You know how Regan met his wife? She was accused of being a communist and he defended her as head of the Screen Actors Guild. He was very anti McCarthyism but not a fool.

There is a fantastic lightening storm here so I have to go outside and see it. It lit up the sky like a dome over my house. I have been watching the dome lightening from afar but it has arrived tonight.

I do remember now that I am a democrat on a mostly republican site....I usually keep my mouth shut. :lighteningcloud:
