Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
Just thought I'd post some words I wrote a while ago. Lotta people attacking OP as his experience doesnt fit in with their beliefs, anyways....

Before we are born we are in our mothers womb, connected to her, safe, nourished, blissful non state so to speak. then we are born and woooosh... we enter this new world, our connection is cut in a fashion and here we are :) We are born, perfect, naked beautiful. when people look at us they see perfection mirrored back at them, the beauty of creation, divine in a sense, glowing, they cant label us with anything other than how perfect we are.

then we grow up we form our mind/ego and we try to make sense of the world around us, on top of that we have people telling us what is real, what is right, parents, teachers, society, we are made into our cultural surroundings. we try to fit in, to be normal to understand, all the time building up layers of belief systems around us, like an onion skin, layer upon layer, growing, understanding, forming relationships with people who seem similar. As we go our minds start putting labels on things, people, emotions etc. its natural in the way society(depending on where u live of course) works these days. we are taught to be good, to share, to love to be tolerant etc but it can be hard with so many distractions in this material\consumerist world.

The main goals put on us, get an education, learn, get a good job, meet the person of your dreams, settle down, have kids, . Nothing wrong with that, all beautiful things but money/competition/materialism/consumerism/media/image/self image/ etc puts so much pressures on us as we go along that it hard to keep what is real, easy to become ego/mind lead/ rather than hearth lead. Living on this exterior image attached to the ego.

And they ask you to like this image and connect with it. their labels matched with your labels. if the labels dont match theres friction/division/seperation. So all these labels that we have created for ourselves, for others. think what that has done. religion/race/creed/prince/pauper/fat/slim/happy/ grumpy/ positive/negative. Just have to look at the world around us. its becoming a boiling pot. Our ways have led to so much trouble. anyway im rambling here. im just saying the first thing that comes in my heart and typing :)

Most people go through life oblivious to themselves. Never really asking questions of themselves, never understanding their emotions, where they come from. if they feel down, they buy something shiny or look for outside understanding/help. theyre so busy in this rush rush world that they never stop to really think, theyre on auto pilot. ants in a farm, forming a purpose for the greater good of the ant hill. the hive mind so to speak. they become a human doing rather than a human being :)

so sometimes in life some stuff happens that hits us on a very deep emotional level, an experience, maybe spiritual, loss of job, a loved one what ever. this can be very traumatic and some people try make sense of it and others just forge on, not just stopping and saying time out!! what makes me feel this way whats going on. its important every so often to just stop and let your soul catch up with you

so yeah, some people forge on and say some people start asking questions, not just silly my hair looks crap, etc but real introspective questions related to the SELF, your true nature. You, who are you, what have you become, you take stock of your life, the people around you what is going on, what is this world around you, what is the world inside. slowly your eyes really start to open, your ears really start to hear, your heart sings. you see things differently, this material world which had its grip on you suddenly starts to loose its tight grip, shiny things loose thier importance, desires, need to judge, silly stuff doesnt make sense. belief systems crumble, people can become irritating which were once cool. on and on. as the change takes place as the search goes on as the ego mind starts to loose its hold as your heart starts to open up to the real you, as it burns, feel it, know it, the beauty of it the real, you the true you, always been searching for you looking to know you. quietly sitting theyre in your heart centre, waiting hopeing that one day you would say hi :) so beautiful. sorry im starting to be moved to tears as i write. that true you. inside that spark of divinity thats always there. inside always seeking now as you seek it. see the wonder in you, embrace it know it love it. love you for when you strip away all the onion layers the true you is there which is love no more no less and that is what god\creator\source essence is. not some beardy guy with a deep voice, not someone who judges, nothing but love the most powerful force in the universe. and when you realise this you will look around you and see the beauty in everything else, everybody else. love, compassion, emathy, understanding flow forth

walk in nature see the majesty/perfection of it, little things, youll observe these things more, youll feel them. so beautiful....

Be the love that you are and stay grounded and in balance.

Re: A Spiritual Experience that Answered as Much as it Created New Sets of Questions
On 13 March 2013 I had an extraordinary spiritual experience. I will try and keep it brief so it's readable.

I had a spontaneous Sahasrara Awakening. It was incredible. I literally saw a light in the upper-left portion of my peripheral vision that I couldn't discover the source of. It remained for three days.

Previous to this experience I was a die-hard Christian. Typical GOP member, etc. This put into question every single thing I'd ever learned in my lifetime. It was nothing like anything I'd ever been taught...and it confirmed things that seemed to contradict a lifetime of searching with actual answers.

During that 3-day period I was in a state of mind where it seemed like I was "spiritually downloading" information and my life's purpose. Everything became very apparent whenever I would read a subject or really involve myself in anything. I saw life completely differently - managing to incorporate Buddhist beliefs into my life rather quickly, even though I'd only roughly scanned the subjects during my 30+ years. I instantly KNEW everything that was meaningful to me spiritually (and even tangibly). I saw the "game" of life...and that the majority of us were pawns to different paradigms - i.e. religious, political, and social. I believe it was Enlightenment...the Awakening...

It wasn't anything I was searching out, but it was preceded by a tremendous life upheaval and change in everything from the top-down in my life. In February I felt this pressing desire to leave my job, my wife, and my home and pursue my destiny. Little did I know that it would lead to such a thing...

And slowly, over the past 6 months, it's as if all of the things that I'd only dreamed about my entire life are suddenly coming to me without any effort whatsoever. It's almost as if I just waggle my finger a little bit and the spells cast themselves...

Where it's been confusing is it has almost completely eliminated my need for anything beyond this experience. I'm in a position where I'm not sure about the existence of deity beyond a superconscious Creator...it has even put into question the idea of Jesus, which is, in some ways, hard to abandon...I'm not sure if/how that part of the "story" fits in any more. It always made sense to me previous to this, but now I'm wondering if this is just the goal of every living being - to abandon the things we WANT to be true, for the things that really are true.

It's been this tidal wave of realization and perception. I've never felt closer, and yet farther, from KNOWING. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I know I'm going to get some vitriol here, but I'm prepared for it...as I've already gone the rounds with some family members who can't even comprehend what's occurred and who cling to their own ideologies so tightly that one would be lucky to pry them from their cold, dead hands. ;)

Thanks for responding. I have a busy day today, but I'll do my best to keep the conversation going if it starts up...

May i ask did the golden ball of light come from above, or below? their is a different meaning if so.

I have experienced, as crazy as this event seems, it is only the beginning, enjoy your roller coaster my friend :)

It came from the upper left portion of my forehead. Just above my left eye. The unusual thing was I didn't even question its existence. It was as if the moment it occurred I knew what was happening...even though it probably should have shocked me. But it came with the information...suddenly.
