Re: List of Foods We Will Lose if We Don’t Save the Bees
It’s time to take a hard look at what we would be missing without bee pollination.

In just the last ten years, over 40% of the bee colonies in the US have suffered Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). Bees either become so disoriented they can’t find their way back to their hives and die away from home, or fly back poison-drunk and die at the foot of their queen. There are many arguments as to what is causing CCD, but the most logical and likely culprit is the increased usage of pesticides by the likes of Monsanto and others.

A study by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has labeled one pesticide, called clothianidin, as completely unacceptable for use, and banned it from use entirely. Meanwhile, the U.S. uses the same pesticide on more than a third of its crops – nearly 143 million acres. Two more pesticides linked to bee death are imidacloprid, and thiamethoxam. These are also used extensively in the US, while elsewhere, they have been taken out of circulation.

Recently, the FDA also seized Terrence Ingram’s bees, a naturalist who had been studying bees for over 30 years, and had a colony that was resistant to Monsanto’s Round Up. Ingram’s prized hives, along with their queens, were destroyed by the FDA, and Ingram was given no warning that his bees would be demolished.

I am definitely concerned about the bees. If we lose the bees we will lose our lives. It's just as simple as that.

Bees are dying all over the world from many different reasons.

This is reality.

from your link

The British Beekeepers Association

It was the worst summer ever. I had my own bees starving to death in the summer. It is nothing to do with pesticides; bad weather is enough of an explanation. It’s not healthy for bees to be trapped in their hives during the summer. Some queen bees couldn’t get out to mate and confined bees are more likely to get nosema and viruses from the varroa mite” – Francis Ratnieks, professor of apiculture at University of Sussex

These figures are not surprising given the harsh winter and long cold spring which followed from an extremely poor summer last year. The National Bee Unit has continued to offer colony husbandry advice to beekeepers through these prolonged periods of inclement weather – Mike Brown, head of the NBU
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44691181

Yes, and look at what I had said above those links.

"Bees are dying all over the world from many different reasons."

You stated there were no losses in the UK, I was showing you that there is. I did not state that is was from pesticides. My main concern is that they are dying.
 Quoting: H0NEYBEE

not many reasons, one. the weather and the bees will do just fine without your concern or woo woo propaganda.

If the bees die off, look at all the animals that would die off? There are a lot of animals that rely on this food to survive. And then there are animals who rely on those animals to survive. And so on...

lol, bees will be the last thing on your mind when you are reduced to eating your children.

And that will not be that far away.
 Quoting: Matrix Warrior

Lol you are a funny fucker :)

Humour aside, always protect the children.

If there is doompocalypse rather than a steady disintegration of the world until the lights go out (the latter being the more likely scenario because humans actually like disaster) - then if you're going to save any scrap of who you are for what comes after then protect the children - not just yours (though yours come first) but all children.

This is a serious heads up. This world is not a game though 99.9% of you have treated it as such. It's a major conflict with a shittonload at stake.

People talk about hell like it's a joke. I tell them one of the reasons human memory is wiped is so that humans have no inkling of a memory of what hell is like. This world is partly designed for who you truly are to come to the surface. Doesn't work if you remember just how unbelievably horrible the alternative to making the grade is.

So super saiyan serious - if you do nothing else protect the kids and you will benefit yourself enormously.

Those who have harmed kids in this world are fucked. So absolutely, completely fucked there aren't words to describe the suffering they are going to experience. Those better devote every second of the rest of their lives to protecting children.

Many of those are GMO now, and they have their own bees in little packages you have to buy. There are buys you can buy.

Also, there are manual ways of pollinating.

But its rather urgent, yes, for real bees to be saved and real food at that too, not GMO, it can take big hike along with those who force it on us.

And for those who think no GMO fruit, well you tell me why the orchards in the Okanagan are all on very tiny "special" trees instead of the kind I grew up on. Sure saves on ladders I suppose....

My father has an orchard. He trimmed the trees himself to keep them at about 6ft tall. I'm sure the same thing is happening there. He also ties young limbs down. just so it will grow downwards, like a weeping fruit tree. tricks he said he learned early in his life from his father. Are the trees there looking like mini trees. Or do they look jagged and trimmed like giant bonsai trees?

I can say I've grown some stuff on this list successfully without any bees at all. Not much research went into this article it seems.

firstly there is nothing wrong with the bees.

only america had a colony disaster last year due to the drought.

secondly bees dont do all the pollenation, infact ironically and evidently with america's low count on bees everything is pollenating just fine without them.

thirdly the bullshit about it being pesticides is another industry scam to try to destroy the competition.

welcome to reality op.

This is nothing to do with a drought. And yes it absolutely is pesticides. Thanks Monsanto! When I go hiking in Southern CA, I see dead bees everywhere. I also see bees on the ground just crawling in circles and zig zags, completely disoriented. I've been seeing this for a few years now, but it has gotten worse in the last 2 years.

Bees pollinate about one third of the food we eat, and more if you take into account what animals eat. Bees have survived all kind of earth changes,
Cooling. Warming, death of , wolly mammals etc but in the last 80 years and more so in the last 20 years we have managed to wipe out, as in permanently remove 60+ percent of various bee types.

If you use common sense in the last 80 years and getting progressively worse we have seen a rise in mono culture and increase in toxic shit used in farming.

Weather plays a part but obviously the bess have been dealing with weather for about 50 million years so i think what we are seeing is more than just a weather problem

firstly there is nothing wrong with the bees.

only america had a colony disaster last year due to the drought.

secondly bees dont do all the pollenation, infact ironically and evidently with america's low count on bees everything is pollenating just fine without them.

thirdly the bullshit about it being pesticides is another industry scam to try to destroy the competition.

welcome to reality op.

Wheat and Olives dont require bees, think on why it was so important in the Bible, hmmm

All the foods mentioned in the list are what was missed when the Hebrews left Egypt..
