You have to feel good about giving them a good home and life. No need to be sad. This to shall pass. Quoting: #DontReadInToIt God Speed! Thank you! I would like to think that our pets watch over us! You need to go away some place different for a small break if you can. I remember loosing my dog 8 years ago and driving off someplace with my OH was the only thing which lessened the grief. PPL will say what they like, but when you loose a pet, it really really hurts. But you will get over it, but it may take some significant time. Best thing I done, was to get a puppy some time later. But don't put it off too long if that is what you are thinking. You have my deepest thoughts. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 44689416 United Kingdom 08/09/2013 12:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... My little yorkie is getting on and i am worried about her too , i used to work in a pet cemetary and we had the poem burnt into a plaque above the cemetary gates.. They are treated with dignity and love by the workers even in death .. i have cremated a load of animals .. read the poem get hope from it .......... |

Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.” [link to www.upgradereality.com] |

Words are probably not much comfort right now, but even though I don't know you, I'm genuinely sorry for your loss. Take comfort in your other doggie, since they will be mourning as well. Best wishes and comfort sent to you and yours. |

Between being married to a college football coach and children leaving the nest my do Boston's have become my constant companions. I have been crying for 2 days:( Quoting: Footballwife next time get a Parrot...Macaws can live 50 - 100+ years and will probably outlive you.
