To the seller's credit, the box is fairly convincing-looking, he apparently has some talent for building and artificially aging things. The story is over the top with drama, and as others aptly pointed out, if the item was truly dangerous he would have been trying to unload it quickly.

Depends how you look at it but IMO honesty is the best policy, to promote an item as something it is not, is of course perpetrating a scam and questions his credibility on anything else he might be part of

So many people like him out there nowadays- 'caveat emptor'

She also bought a money clip from china for $1 and glued a coin on it and sold it as a "hard to find" Masonic money clip

Ya I contacted him, and I agree with if both parties are satisfied, but here(GLP) is a place to come and see what's real, and that was my interest in the box as well as others, the sheep will just get it thinking the story is legit, here we know the story is rarely legit. And mean seriously though claiming people are dead to further commerce like the grampa, meh.

It also helps that EVERYTHING in the photos is in a murky yellow-gray cast, not just the box. For that extra-creepy effect. A little photoshop wizardry.

I gots me a haunted belt buckle left to me by muh grandaddy. Its got a pentagram on it and everything, and whoever wares it feels dizzy and pisses themselfs all tha tyme.

I buryed it in my backyard and my dog dug it up than done died after he swallowed the damn thang. I cut him oopan and took it out and thought abouts throlwing it in the ryver, but I don't wunt to take any chances on killin the fishies. They never dun hurt nobody.
