When Jesus said "this Gospel", he did NOT mean the 'gospel' of Paul--that is, Christianity. He was referring to his Teaching that the Doctrine of "resurrection" is a Doctrine of 'Rebirth', as specifically alluded to in his reply to the Sadducees; NOT the Egyptian 'god of the dead'-Pharisaical-"synagogue of Satan" doctrine of the physical raising of a dead body from the grave. Neither did Jesus say that that Gospel would be believed. Only that it would be a "witness unto the nations" as to what Jesus taught. Michael |
