Was sober for two years. Drank last night and I'm getting drunk now | |
Anonymous Coward 08/19/2013 07:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In the last two years I have turned my life around in ways that I never imagined possible. I'm back in college and I have a 3.6 gpa, which I'm quite sure is pretty damn good. Quoting: ThekidCT84 Yeah that's why it's a great fucking idea to totally relapse into alcohol abuse again right when things are worked out and going well... You dumbfuck humans never cease to amaze me. You'll kill yourselves slowly with your alcohol and cigarettes and then act all surprised and clueless about where it ENDS YOU UP in life. I don't even have any advice for you... just a prediction: Your life (and relationship/s) is gonna go to fucking shit and you only have yourself to blame. Either be STRONG and SMART, or get used to being an abandoned fucking mess. |

However, some of the best people that I've met in my life are in AA and are some of the strongest individuals that I know of. Furthermore, I wanted to have a drink because of stress and personal things going on in my life right now. I was drank throughout my 20's (I'm 29 now) and I quit in August of 2011 due to a huge lack of motivation and a desire to not do anything meaningful with my life. Quoting: ThekidCT84 Sorry, if ya are gonna quit, you just quit, no jesus freak chain smoker zealots needed. this right here is good stuff |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 36443586 United States 08/19/2013 07:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Enjoy your alcohol OP. You'll quit when you're ready to and not a second before. I say live without regrets. Consciously choose what you do in life and face your choices with open eyes. Hanging around twelve steppers is just another addiction IMO. Real reform comes from within. |

Sounds like your girlfriend doesn't care very much about you to me. I am an alcoholic so I guess it takes one to know one. The day after a relapse you go right to the whiskey?! And you don't feel badly? Maybe not now, but you cannot hide behind that bottle for long...God puts those feelings of shame there for a reason...to save your life! My suggestion is you listen to them... Quoting: UnmannedAerialPilot Thank you GOD for this post!!!! But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14 God doesn't choose favorites.. They choose HIM It is not the greatness of my faith that moves mountains but my faith in the greatness of God |

An alcoholic is always an alcoholic, You can't have just one (or two) and one the things they do best is make excuses and manipulate. Unless you want to watch your life go up in flames you should go to a meeting asap. |

Don't worry. Have a few for me. Alcoholism is progressive. you didn't start yesterday where you stopped 2 years ago, you started way farther down the line. It leads to insanity, physical illness and death. |

I'm 29, so the post about college alcoholic drinking with people of a younger age doesn't necessarily relate to me. Second, nothing detrimental came about for me to drink again. I just wanted some summer shandy last night and some whiskey today. I'm not looking for sympathy, nor do the negative words expressed by anyone on here bother me in the least bit. I posted this mainly to get it off of my chest. That's all. I hope everyone on here is having a fantastic night. I'm going to watch my hometown baseball team and enjoy my evening. ;) Don't believe what the mainstream media tells you. There's too many sheeps living in this country! |

I found this while looking for videos and I liked it. I think it would be great on acid. |

I know you know this. Think of what you lost...and what yoy gained in two years. What is your relapse telling you about your life right now? Use it as a tool and get back on track. No one would dispute the fact that a buzz feels good for a minute....but thats all it is...a short time. Is it worth what its cost you? Only you have that answer...and the answer is within my friend. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45440131 I was supposed to read this thread. Just going over 1 1/2 yrs sober. Great reminder. It was hell for 10 years. My key to quitting was building such a different life that you wouldn't want to even go back! Nor have the time. Lost so much weight, and get a gym membership! Women will notice a positive energy in you and be drawn to you! |
