Yeah, I would agree with that synopsis except that:
1) there is a clear indentation where the cuneiform bone imprinted the original medium

2) if it were water erosion, the indentations would be logically reversed, there is not type of erosion I can think of that would account for vertical holes like that

I'm gonna call bs/superstition on this due to the fact there was one pristine footprint that had intricate details such as toes that has lasted 200 million years, but no sign off another nearby not even a trace.

If you read the transcript by Tatunca Nara (white Indian of Amazons) who was in contact with Carl Brugger (not sure of spelling), he gave an oral history of his peoples going back 13,500 years.
