Honestly friends and I have noticed this phenom for about the last 4 years . lightening sounding like bombs , it seems to coorelate with the esclation of extreme weather . I think it has somthing to do with our upper atmosphere or the composition of the atmosphere has changed ? Also there have been reports of lots of pets behaving strange in seattle last couple of days . the sounds in bc were them letting the krakin take a breath of freash air .. I am serious Quoting: Anon 43919880 Good report. Further, this monsoonal flow is pretty uncommon for this region, and I am aware it's still summer. If you look at intellicast or any other live radar feed, check out the spiraling activity of this system. It appears as if the axis point (center of low) is very close to Salem at the moment. It reminds me of a spiral galaxy model that is spinning off bands of energy. It crackles shortly sometimes too, instead of the usual rolling bubbling deep boomy sound. Just like the sun, it is more servere and hectic |

Also the thunder doesn't sound like thunder, it sounds like bombs, very eerie, like it's ripping the sky. It's shaking my front door. Anyone else experiencing this? Quoting: Martin Farbles That's scarey Martin! Any chance you can get a recording of it? B.C. reported those wierd sky- sounds last week...wonder if it is related? Are you prep'd for an EQ? Better get ready! Cheers! SK |

User ID: 43214063 United States 09/07/2013 03:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All 3 weather sites I use (which called for 100% rain today, and heavy rain at that), were inaccurate: NOAA, Weatherbug, and Intellicast. We had heavy rain all night (technically today), and a smattering this a.m., but dry all day. This was a strange storm indeed; even the prognosticators couldn't figure it out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6187123 It's usually so placid on the West Coast. Bring on the lightning bolts!! Hahaha, I was thinking about this video last night while watching the storm. Lots of cloud to cloud energy transfer, only saw a few head towards the ground. One happened right above me and I could hear the static going through the air. |
