David Blaine's breath-defying stunt fails

David Blaine's Bubble Bursts

David Blaine Fails to Set World Record

David Blaine fails in world record underwater bid

David Blaine fails to set record

David Blaine runs out of breath

===

These are some of the headlines from papers all over the world..

Not one of them pointing out that he did spend 177 hrs (7 days) under water, more than any human has ever managed.

What's wrong with the world? Are people so completely blind that they can't see all his incredible sucesses doing mind-boggling & superhuman feats?

Re: David Blaine SUCCEEDS in his attempt to spend 7 days underwater
You jokers are missing my point.

Blaine set out to do two near-impossible feats. He managed to complete one and the only reason he failed in the second was that he was too exhausted & tired doing the first. Yet the media focusses on the failure of his second feat, ignoring the fact that he sucessfuly finished the first.

You guys are as idiotic & stupid as the mainstream media.. wall

After his second stunt failed, he was crying like a crazed monkey on crack. Blaine should try to set the crying record next time.

Your just jellous you cant bite a coin in half or melt a hole thru it with a fag and magically make it like new again.

Why dont you try holding your breath under water for 7 mins, whilst un chaining yourself.

O yes?

well then if you like blaine that much why dont you marry him?

And i am not saying that i can hold my breath for 7 minutes, but clam divers in some contry stays way longer then 7 minutes.

So think what you must.

Blaine is being televised by the "stupid mainstream media" as you said it.

so what was his first thing he had to do? And what did he accomplished? I have no clue whatsoever.

So, what did he accomplished?

Re: David Blaine SUCCEEDS in his attempt to spend 7 days underwater
I read that over the next year or so he will be getting $250,000 a show for 4 more shows for doing more of these stunts...

I don't think many people give a crap that he couldn't hold his breathe under water for nearly 8 minutes to break the record... since most people probably have a tough time doing it for a minute...

Props to Blaine... If he didn't have to move at all and could totally concentrate on holding his breathe I think he could have done it... but by having to move around and pick locks, etc... I saw he burned up his last minute by moving...

Re: David Blaine SUCCEEDS in his attempt to spend 7 days underwater
If he wanted to break the record for holding his breath why didn't he just do that instead of staying submerged for so long??......... Because, when he could not break the record he could blame it on the fact he was soooo exhausted. Besides holding his breath for 9 minutes would only last nine minutes..... not enough attention.

Re: David Blaine SUCCEEDS in his attempt to spend 7 days underwater
to concentrate on blaine not being able to hold his breath for nine minutes ignoring the fact he was undeer water for 7 days bewilders me. How many of us can hold our breath for 5 minutes let alone 7.5. One thing that people seem to forget is that this guy was able to bring a lot of strangers together and got them talking to each other. I was there and is was pretty amazing to see the amount of people who for that moment in time had a commend bound, and that my friends is the true magic.
p.s.s Much has been said about how Blaine was treated in england. Having spent a year there i'm not surpise. American's have proven themself to have more class and respect for others whether you agree with the performance or not.
