Apparently Fox and CNN could care less. Just a typical night in Chiraq I suppose.
It's just a ride.

IF this was a white neighborhood the media would be ALL over it. I'm sick and tired of this backwards ass nation.

Racist as could be

but this wouldn't happen in a white neighborhood...lol we are more civil than blacks
 Quoting: KcChamps

True, and if it did it would be a false flag..true

Not even the briefest of mentions on Fox or CNN. MSNBC only briefly mentioned it to fit their anti-gun agenda I guess.
It's just a ride.

Every weekend is a Mass Shooting event in ChiCongo.

Every Single weekend.

The Press goes for the naval yard shooting or the Movie theater shooting and twist and moan over every little bit for weeks on end yet every single weekend in Chicago outnumbers ever single one of these so called "mass shooting" events.

When is this country going to be honest about itself. We don't have a gun problem. We have a huge problem in the black community.

I live in Chicago. We call it "Chiraq"
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 46522301

I live in Chicago as well and the hoodrats call it Chiraq. West and South sides are where it is really bad. It's all good downtown, and north white areas :D. White power, white power. It might as well be Evanston up here, if you know what that is if from the area.

Raised in Evanston. I get it.

I used to live right across the street from Cornell Park where this happened. When the neighborhood was all Polish it was wonderful. Polish restaurants, bakeries, all the churches packed. It was safe to walk at night for the most part.

Cornell was noted for men's 16" softball leagues...and many a night I would sit on my front porch with a qt. of beer in a paper bag watching the games. Each game had hundreds of fans as they were all sponsored by local bars or companies.

Then things changed.

The Mexicans started moving in first...
Problems started in the bars with drugs, fighting, and overall gangbanging. The softball teams stopped coming and the park fell into disrepair. After enough Mexicans moved in there was Federal money to rebuild...not with softball fields but with soccer fields. Hordes of Mexicans would come to play pick up games until even they tired of it.

Then the Blacks moved in.

No one ever went to the park for fear of gangs.
No one swam in its once beautiful pool.
No one other than gang bangers went out at night.

No more Polish people anywhere.
The restaurants gone, bakeries closed, empty storefronts abounded.
The churches were locked and only opened during Mass.

Finally the city decided to tear down the block of homes where I once lived and build a small school named after Richard Daley, of course.

The entire Cornell Park had a large fence put around it and even Wolcott street was gated so no one, especially gangbangers could get through,

It is now a fortress, but accessible as we have seen by the nights shootings.

What is the real problem?

Ask yourself why a three year old is out at 10:30 at night instead of at home in bed and you will find your answer.

Do you think me racist?
Maybe I am, but more so I am outraged that I must be forced to accept into my area different cultures that are not there to help better the community, but destroy it.

Be it their fault or not, these people are intellectually, morally, and educationally inferior to those who preceded them. That neighborhood had beautiful churches n nearly every corner, built by the hands of the immigrants who worshiped at them.

What happened at Cornell is indicative of what is happening in Chicago as a whole. Just as the Polish moved from Cornell the ethnic European White communities are leaving Chicago.

Great post!

Thanks for sharing your experience.

I do not think you are a racist.

The word racist seems to be anymore an accusation thrown at someone who tries to destroy the lies and has eyes in their heads to see reality.

Pretty sad when you have to lie about your experiences for fear of being labeled as this or that.

The reality of a situation should speak for itself.
