What exactly do clocks mearsure? Is the earth speeding up or slowing down?
If he earth spins on its axis faster, thereby making the "day" go by at a quicker rate, i.e. the sun flies past us quicker, sets quicker, and rises quicker, would we age faster?

Conversely, if the earth slows down on its axis, and the "day" goes by slower, would we age slower?

On a larger scale, if the earth speeds up as it goes around the sun, would that mean we "live" longer, i.e. we would make many more rotations around the sun before our bodies give out?

Conversely, if the earth slows in its rotation around the sun, would that mean we would die at a younger age?

What if two variables change; the earth spins faster on its axis, but slows its rotation around the sun? Or, spins slower on its axis, but speeds up going around the sun?

I'm just wondering, because I turned 51 a few days ago, and I really don't feel like I am 51 years old. Relatively speaking, I feel like somewhere in my 30's.

I have a feeling neither rotation changed, because the clocks seem to still be synchronized with the physical aspects of the environment. If either one changed, earth axis spinning, or flying around the sun, wouldn't sun rise or sunset time be obviously different, or the seasons seem off?

Would we be able to recognize such a phenomenon?

Time is dependent Earth's gravity well...it varies by celestial body.

Clocks don't measure anything, they are a man made visual simulation of the passage of time for our convenience.

people used to count in base 12. (ie dozens)

people wanted to keep track of sunrise/sunsets/seasons

people used base 12 to make a time system to keep track of sunrise/sunset.

if the earths rotation sped up then it would just lose sync with the clocks and calendars.

it would have zero effect on your age but might throw your body clock off a bit.
