Reputable websites to suggest to people for honest information?

As time passes, I feel the need more and more to awaken people to what the world is really like these days. Yesterday on a local Facebook exchange page someone was inquiring about a local cable company. Lots of opinions were given and someone said that very recently a mainstream cable company here has cut out CNN and HLN from their lineup. These are people from my community some I know and most I don't, however I am itching for the chance to put the word out there that this is a great opportunity for them to check out some other sources besides MSM.

Is Forbes.com good? What else? reputable sites only please.
