The Red Cross and Pasteur Institute say inmates in the island's dirty, crowded jails are particularly at risk. The number of cases rises each October as hot humid weather attracts fleas, which transmit the disease from rats and other animals to humans. To be honest my conspiracy about swine flu was that it was a planned release to see how such a virus would spread and how we could cope with one... that thought is based on the fact the death toll was lower than the usual average in a normal flu season..
