These people have been labelled as untrustworthy, lazy, dishonorable and dangerous. As a whole, this is a lie and a way to isolate these people from society and to make people hate them. When in truth, they really are the "salt of the Earth". The good people, the honorable people, the unseen people. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43634091 Yes, they can see through the truth and the lies. They don't need to cheat others to get ahead. They don't have a desire to have more than they need. That is why they are hated and attacked at every turn. They are called crazy, bums, dangerous, unsociable, backward. These are the true "Chosen People"... |

We could learn much from these people, but they don't talk much. They stand in the shadows of society. Most people have little respect for them. They have a hard time getting work because they don't tolerate lies and dishonesty well. They are the lonely, the hungry, the homeless, the old, the insane. And most of society is afraid of them. Why? Because they are different... |

While the poor, the unseen, the homeless, the shadow people may know the real truth. Which do you listen to? |

Part of the reason that these people make us so uncomfortable is because they challenge the very existence we have come to accept in this world. The idea that cheating, lying, stealing is ok if we call it "business". That this world is about "survival of the fittest". That to disagree with society is dangerous. That money makes us happy. These people are never "politically correct". They say what they mean and don't lie. Since these people are not into these lies it makes us very ill at ease. It scares us... |

Poor me. Me, me, me... When there are people that don't have enough to eat. People that don't have a place to live or a warm bed. People don't want these kind of people around them... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43634091 I think that you are exactly right. I have been blessed to have lived on both sides of society. I believe that it helped me in so many ways. I have met just as many wise poor people and wise wealthy ones. Maybe more... This is part of the reason why these people on this forum are so freaked out and afraid about what is coming. For the people with nothing, this change means very little to them. What more can they lose but their lives and that is no big deal to them. You could say that they are better off in a way when you consider what is about to happen in the world. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38874043 They are the forgotten, the unpopular, the outcasts, the ugly or the old. They don't promote themselves. They don't brag. They don't talk much and when they do it is very humble and low key. These people don't cheat others, have honor and respect their peers. They may be a little dirty at times, may have a few teeth missing, but are as honest as the day is long. These are God's true Chosen People. These are my heroes... Unlike the "knowledge pushers" of society trying to make money from fake knowledge, these poor truly wise beings are not easy to talk to or easy to gain their trust. They speak in very broad, casual and vague terms when asked about spiritual issues. You have to treat them as equals and they have to trust you before they will speak their hearts. A great example of this is the American Indians. Many white idiots go running to some Indian reservation and ask the first old Indian they see about the meaning of life and what is coming next. The old Indians will tell them some bullshit that the whites want to hear and the they will drive away. It actually may take years to gain their trust. What I am trying to say here is that truth and wisdom is not based on your balance sheet and where you went to college. The real truth is always much more illusive and hard to find. |

Trust people on a case by case basis, putting people in groups of trust worthy or not, you will be wrong because it's a general assumption and not an absolute truth. |

I know would be nice and easy for our brains to just apply a simple formula and voila... to know which people you can rely on, but usually it is not so simple. The life is not only black and white, there are innumerable nuances of grey. So, there are poor people because of their bad habits and not because somebody oppressed them. Or there are uneducated people, who could be also bad. Or there are poor persons that could sell even their mother for a buck. So you cannot draw conclusions so quickly! This you would know, OP-ie if you would have been around for longer, or if have been, at least to open your eyes! These are my 2cents and not hating, I'm trying to expand your horizons.. |

Look, I'm no fool. My point is this. Don't reject ANY source of wisdom just because of the color of someone skin, the way they look, where they live or how much money they have. I will go even farther and say they MOST wisdom will not come from the beautiful, wealthy or "educated" populous. Why? Because they have had to "sell their souls" to get that wealth. See? Of course their are bad people EVERYWHERE! That is NOT the point of this post. Peace |
