User ID: 28418127 United States 10/17/2013 09:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The movie gets very high ratings, but can you trust those reviews that the search engines produce? Quoting: Swirling Purple I'm torn whether I should go see it. I almost went today and then changed my mind not sure if I should believe the hype. Is it just special effects and entertainment? What do you think? Some reviews say that there is a deep spiritual message contained in the movie. Is there a message worth watching the movie? Is it a deep message or just an MSM tailored spiritual brainwash message? Is this movie what they say....already a classic....would you recommend seeing it? I think there will be more accurate reviews among the glp crowd than in the general public : ) Would love to see some real opinions and thoughts about the movie to help decide whether it's worth watching. I have not seen Gravity yet, but the previews seem interesting, I will wait until it comes out on video, before spending any money on their GMO Popcorn.... In the mean time, here is a movie worth watching...... Thread: Have you seen the movie called SHADE, THE MOTION PICTURE??? Chugiakian |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 45646709 Canada 10/17/2013 09:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | total shit. Thought it was retarded. Sorry I don't want to listen to Sandra Bullock have a prolonged panic attack and gasp for air constantly for 2 hours. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2911653 Yep, too much gasping... and Clooney barking orders give me a break. Cardboard 'acting'. And why wouldn't he know about her life, home town and family? It is space and you got to train for it FOR YEARS it's not some bar or nightclub on the outskirts of town where you don't know anybody or anything. And I know it's probably true, but do all space stations not lock their hatches? Ridiculous. What about aliens and rogue countries trying to break in? Get real. Bullock looks good though and I'd still like to bang her in zero G. |

He was tethered to Sandra and her leg was tangled up in the parachute lines. Their relative velocity to the station was zero. He didn't have to die! Stupid movie. Awesome visuals though... Quoting: BoxerLvr Because plot. Real shame they spend so much time, money, and talent on a movie but can't be bothered to come up with a story that actually makes sense. Hollywood execs seem to think that writing is the least important part of a movie. They got it backwards: a good story can redeem a movie with low production values, but no amount of bling can salvage a badly written story. Reaching for the sky makes you taller. Hi! Anonymous Coward User ID: 48638453 United States 10/20/2013 08:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The cinematography was fantastic. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48638453 The story was pretty cool too. You get to see a bleeding heart liberal die. How can it get better than that? The only better rush was in "Mission to Mars" where stinking left-wing commie rat bastard Tim Robbins takes off his space helmet. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 48592859 United States 10/20/2013 08:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's average. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44555751 Pretty good visuals. Movie takes no risks, and Bullock character undergoes a somewhat cliched personal transformation. Some of what happens in space is ludicrous, which detracts from the realism. Some scenes are intense. I really wish it had been a little more realistic. Not really a classic. I reserve that distinction for Apollo 13. I agree average acting especially. Bullock was doing her "omg, omg omg" phrase she uses in other movies. The special effects were stunning. I almost got sick watching the beginning when the satellite struck and they were spinning around and that was without 3-D. |

Anyone remember when Clooney used to keep tilting his head all the time, it was irritating and not acting " I don't invite this shit, it just comes to me", Carlito Brigantte |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48178823 this movie was absolute shit. unrealistic event after event and whiney woman that made you wonder whytf was she even picked for the mission. epic fail of a sci-fi movie. This is probably the most accurate post so far. I don't even bother going to the theater anymore; it's just computer special effects bullshit and Illuminati brainwashing. No thanks. There still ARE good movies being made on this planet, but they sure as hell don't come out of Hollywood. |

Terrible story and insulting events that are impossible in the real world. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35803918 I had to LOL, and came instantly to the conclusion by the middle of the movie (center landing piece on Soyuz miraculously ejects through the hull the landing parachutes onto ISS, seconds before the whole contraption gets ripped apart by space projectile bombardment), that this is a badly made dark comedy. |

User ID: 10122739 United States 10/20/2013 09:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I liked it from beginning to end and wasn't put off by the "it wouldn't happen like that" moments. It was done well and a lot better than most space movies. There were a couple of times I was thinking "that's a glaring example of something that couldn't happen", but it's just a movie. I didn't go there for a physics lesson. :) |

User ID: 48642552 United States 10/20/2013 10:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was the best movie we saw since the 1st Matrix. As far a Sandra's panic attacks...it was my understanding she was a specialist, not a seasoned astronaut. So it was mostly her that gave us the drama we crave. Really now, if it were 2 space experienced George Clooney types it would mostly be a silent movie imo. Ex-military DoD types are true masters of silent communication, they know what has to be done and just do it. Fear God and Dread Nought. |
