Oh Paradigm speakers... Nice... I auditioned some Paradigm Studio something or others (80's I think?) several years ago and liked them a lot... Here is something to consider.... You already have a rather nice speaker set up.... So if you replace them or 'upgrade' - you might not notice as much as an enhancement or improvement than if you have been coming from having nothing or a crappy set-up.... So you definitely have to weigh the cost-effectiveness of upgrading in relation to how much of an improvement you will experience.... I would definitely say that you need to find a local dealer and be able to audition what you're thinking about purchasing - so you can be certain that it will be worth it.

I used to be really into audio stuff, but now, I just don't care anymore.

Same here... I used to work for a company that owns/operates several high end manufacturers in this field.

Yeah we've though about that. We're not so much upgrading as remodeling parts of our house and the bulky speakers just don't work with the new setup. Like Psych said, I might be better of cutting huge holes in the walls and forcing them in. Lol

Try magnolia, good demo room, good selection of audiophile level products. I myself am a B&W fan, very clear recreation with amazing sound staging, they also have in walls, as well as mountable bookshelves.

I sampled their 603's 5 or 6 years ago and did not particularly like them (not enough mid-range for my liking)... However I hear you need to move up their product line to experience what the company has to really offer.... The other models were out of my budget at the time so I didn't bother....

Thanks for all these. We'll keep or eyes open when we're at Frys Or Best Buy.
 Quoting: Doomish

Frys Or Best Buy will not offer anything remotely "audiophile" it really is commercialized garbage.

That's what we've found. That's why I'm trying to find a good B&M store to hear some of these in person.

Not good but life is improving.

Good to see you back. I thought you'd fallen off the face of the earth for a while there.

How are you?
 Quoting: Debauchery

Yeah. I had to take a little break from this place. I kept getting caught in the negativity. I'm much better after my hiatus and now I stick to only interesting threads and only briefly troll the threads I know will piss me off.

What's up with you? PM me?

I can't offer much in regard to your current setup. I'm a 2 channel, analog turntable and tubes kind of dude...

Old school is better.

No need for fancy surround sound unless you're into movies. I'm not really... but for music, this system has soundstage like a MF.

On wall. But the Paradigms we have now are like 12" thick. So they'd sorta have to be in the wall. Lol
