This shit is not sustainable, any of it. You can't have literally millions of people living off of other people forever, regardless of the reason they are doing it. |

Jack The Zipper User ID: 48404959 United States 10/15/2013 01:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | pardon me and all that, but GOOD! Let these bums pay their own rent. How did this situation even develop? I went homeless for years, and during that time I saw occasional TV or newspaper coverage of people receiving spanking new townhomes (in Chicago, as one example) which they soon ruined. I was the wrong skin colour and had a car to live in instead of a dumpster to shoot drugs in, so I didn't qualify. It's a disgrace to all those who work to pay rent, or just go without. I don't feel sorry for these people at all. Go get a job. If that isn't enough, go get two jobs. If that still isn't enough, make things, sell them at swap meets, wash cars, whatever. Early Americans had to practise this principle. |

These rat bastards DESTROYED my old neighborhood and I was stuck there dealing with their shit for 5 years before my house reached enough value for me to sell it and break even. It was a nightmare. This would be the best thing for any neighborhood is to get these cockroaches out. They come in, don't follow the rules, won't work, are filthy, have 20 kids that run wild all around the neighborhood and generally act a fool. I don't know who's worse, the section 8 losers or the illegals. Thank GOD I don't have to deal with either of them now. |

Agree, it is completely unsustainable. People should have long since made other arrangements for their lives than being subsidized forever. Even if we truly wanted to, there is no way this can go on. You can't build up one person by tearing another down. That's a zero sum game. . One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway. Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy |

Thank you so much for posting this. My husband and I were heatedly discussing this last night. He thinks I am crazy, nothing is happening or going to happen and also works for the Housing Authority. He believes that the money that they get from HUD is PREFUNDED and, therefore, not at risk in case of default. I laughed at his naivete. I hope I am not saying I told you so come Nov. 1. |

The original article I posted is from Massachussetts, and it is pretty clear that landlords there can evict tenants. Of course it is the landlords that are getting screwed!!! All I can safely predict is that a lot of various police department arson investigators will not get much rest. I Support Our First Responders |

User ID: 36689217 United States 10/15/2013 01:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | EBT going down, Section 8 going down...their strategy is so clear it is disgusting. Low income people are the most likely to get riled up and are easily manipulated. Take away there food and housing and they cause chaos trying to take other peoples food and housing...giving them the perfect reason to swoop down with martial law. The low income people will be used as as the means to an end. CRUX MEA LUX |

Apparently different states administer the funds, and administer them in different ways. One state might prefund, another rely upon replenishment of federal funding. I just got curious from the EBT threads here, and started looking up Section 8 funding stories, curious about how that segment of the poverty industry plays out. Am not finding much, just these couple of very local articles. Nothing national. I Support Our First Responders |

If the local Housing Authorities do not get their monthly federal money on the first, then it will be a lot more than just landlords w/ SECTION 8 vouchers waiting to get rent. The federal mess is about to spill over into the state/local level and it is going to be ugly! |
