They will be living in all those half a million dollar homes that they kept building near where I once lived, that no one could afford or really needed that much of a house. I kept thinking, why are they building so damn many of them and the people I know that want to downsize can't even find a buyer because no one wants it -higher taxes, higher bills etc... This is in an area of the US where housing is not extreme in pricing like other areas. These homes are gated, around 5,000 or more square feet.

The landlords could still collect the share from tenants, but if they're not getting the balance from gov, the only thing they could do is take the loss OR evict the tenants and then turn around and rent the place as non-Section 8.

If one person hoards food in times of war or poverty, that person is executed on the spot. If one person hoards billions of money in the bank, he is awarded a title and no taxes. Hoarding means money is exiting the system and becoming unused, passive wealth.

People who work in the company are taxed. The company itself is not even remotely equally taxed, compared to its workes.

Our civilization is taking money from the people who need it, who would actually use it well, and help keep the system growing. Then it gives those looads of money to the owners of the corporation.

The owner has no useful function in the society at all, except perhaps, one day, investing the money he made. Perhaps investing in the wrong things. He can become more and more influential with that money, and may be a bastard too.

Then you have the dissipation of responsibility from ownership.
Ownership used to mean responsibility. Now, with many shareholders owning corporations, there is no way to say "you are responsible, pay for the damage". You can shutdown the corporation, but cannot make it's owners accountable.

It would seem to indicate that it takes 60 days to evict Section 8 tenants, rather than the traditional 30 days in most states.

Each state, however, has its own eviction laws. But section 8 tenants may have more "rights" -- because it is, or rather, was -- federally funded.

We would be wise to all look up our own state's eviction laws to get a better idea how this will all play out locally.
