Though I always try to hope the writing is the minority rather than the full book. Because they have lied and got away with it in the past.. why not try again. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47706286 Human nature unfortunately. True on the first, but not all human nature. I used to think that way. But now I feel like poo when I try to lie or anything like that. Kind of sucks, but I feel better about myself when I'm in integrity. I just don't get why these kids run red lights like that..is there something like that in a movie or something? Quoting: chazbone So tired of shit being blamed cause people are young. Guess what, someone had to raise the young kids? Someone close to your age! Blame the people you grew up with for raising shitty kids. It's not about lying, it's about this happening three times and each time it was a young person. That's what I was saying, what went wrong with the world? The parents are responsible for teaching their children but are too self involved to notice or care what their children are doing. The last Time I was hit the kid called her mom who came and made the girl who spead up while talking on her phone because she was late to the gym and thought I was going to run the light feel like she did nothing wrong. That's messed up. Last Edited by Heavenly Alchemy on 10/16/2013 07:27 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 47706286 Human nature unfortunately. They watch TV and see everyone at the top lying and getting away with murder. Whatever works is what they do. The easy way is to lie as long as you have your other liar buddies to back you up. They have been programed to have no morals, conscience, ethics or principles. They don't want to answer to other liars like the police. responsibility for your actions is for "suckers" in their opinion. afterall they watched Bill Clinton ask what the definition of "is" is. |

True, friggin a, all three of the drivers friends backed her up and the older guy was alone so was glad I stopped and could back him up. No one else at the light stayed they drove over the debris. That's another thing, no one wants to get involved when they see something going on. All my pet peeves, sorry for ranting guys. |

And almost misses but hits the tail end of another car. Quoting: Heavenly Alchemy Having had this happen to me twice I go into ptsd mode, but call to get people there, and check to make sure everyone is okay. 4 young adults pile out of the car that ran the red light and an older gentleman is in the other car. Everyone is physically okay, thank goodness. The police get there and the young driver tells them that the light hadn't changed yet when they went through it. I was livid !!! I marched up to the guy and told him I had been sitting at the light and saw the whole thing and the light had been a hard red. Blah, blah, blah. Sorry had to vent, what in the world is wrong with our youth?? Just have to add that the officer warned me against making the youth angry at me. What in the world?????? Sorry had to go full tard. Anonymous Coward User ID: 35179157 United States 10/16/2013 07:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah well new drivers have notoriously been responsible for car accidents for generations, thus the attempts to prevent this with Cinderella laws and higher insurance. I think you nailed it by mentioning your ptsd perhaps from a past accident involving young drivers. Youth today seem to have entitlement issues, and laziness unlike other generations in their youth, but I imagine their driving skills are par for other generations. Under 25 in 1960,70, 80, 90 ect your more likely than more experienced drivers to get in an accident. |

Lots of bad drivers now at any age. Most people around here do 70 to 80 where the limit is 55, faster where 65. Even the federal government admitted anti cell phone laws are ineffective. Most don't use turn signals. You're supposed to guess the guy in the left lane is turning right. People make u turns everywhere as though they have no clue where they are going. Forget neighborhood stop signs or slowing down when you see children. Dirtyboy Think beyond impossible. |

New drivers have always had issues through the ages, that's not a new thing, maybe the multitasking these days makes it even harder to concentrate. All we had to deal with were friends, music and the cute guys in the other car. Though more laws are never the answer to things like this. Only mentor and mentored work at creating a conscientious society. Laws only make a society look well on the surface. |

The cops and fire show up and so does his dad who comes over to us and tells us his son wants to apologize to us for causing the wreck and tells us his son admitted to running the red light. I gave him my phone number and told him to call me later that night to let me know how his son is doing and when he did I told him he should be proud of his son for telling the truth and accepting responsibility. Not everyone in this world is a POS. |

Even in comedy levity is missing usually. And these days some levity is needed. Just in my humble opinion of course. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2268641 Canada 10/16/2013 08:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's not just kids. I have a 74-year-old gentleman friend with whom I REFUSE to drive anymore. He blasts through stop signs, because he looks at everything else around him, and he doesn't care. He thinks it's funny to floor it when he gets a yellow light, I remember screaming at him to stop, then he took his foot off the gas and started laughing ("Didn't you think I could make it?"). He changes lanes going through intersections. He never slows down in a playground zone. And that's just part of what he does. Some drivers out there are menaces and need to have their driving privileges revoked. Sorry, but thanks for this thread so I could vent. |

More of a just in case ride to the hospital and a few stitches in one of them. Don't know if it means anything or not but the dad said the kids were on their way to church to attend a youth group meeting. Maybe that is why he didn't try to lie his way out of it. Who knows. |
