Millions (around the World) to "duck and cover" during an Earthquake Drill today.

"More than 24 million people, including 9 ½ million in California, have signed up to duck under their desks at 10:17 a.m. local time Thursday, cover their heads and hold on to something sturdy.

The exercise allows first responders to dust off their emergency response plans and transportation departments to practice slowing down trains in the event of real shaking.

The Great ShakeOut was first held in California in 2008 and participation has since spread around the globe. This year, Japan, Canada, Italy and Guam planned to join the U.S. in the drill.

"Everyone everywhere should know how to protect themselves during an earthquake," lead organizer Mark Benthien said."

Today also marks the 24th anniversary of the Oct. 17, 1989, Loma Prieta earthquake. I was in California for this World Series Quake.... Quite life changing.

Around which world? American world? This is not THE world, but just a tiny part of it. Like 0.3% of THE world.

Certainly things are changing in this world very fast.

Not saying that won't change but so far today it has not had any warnings. If a big quake is coming there will be indications that will give us some advanced notice for those that are watchful.

This is retarded. Why a mass drill? Simply educate people on what to do and there is no need for a "drill". That is what a simple test, pan flit, or training on the computer is for. It's not hard to inform someone that if there is a quake duck and cover. But instead they have to have a drill for the masses? This doesn't seem to make sense to me.

Yep! They want to be able to say "We told ya so..." I thought it was strange on the link above the are telling folks to prepare for "OUR" quake.

100 years from now that is what will be taught about the duck and cover bullshit that was spread around the the 1950's, quakes rather than bombs.

What you should do depends on the quake itself.

maybe it's some kind of dark magic thing where they get a ton of sheeple to focus on something to help bring it into manifestation. maybe great earthquakes cannot be generated by tesla devices alone..

So... I ducked, covered, and nothing happened. Guess it will be on the 21st.... In the meantime, I will be packing up and bubble wrapping my collectibles. lol
