As in, not all of the radiation has made it across the ocean yet. Or has it saturated the ocean already, and we are seeing the worst results now. Quoting: new & improved I think it's going to get worse. As another Canadian once sang, "you ain't seen nothin' yet" |

This shouldn't be happening! You saw how Obama and the Democrats got busy polishing all the knobs at BP when they were spewing their shit all over the Gulf... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 44487484 United States 10/18/2013 03:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Radioactivity level spikes 6,500 times at Fukushima well-RT October 18, 2013 Officials of the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) said on Friday they detected 400,000 becquerels per liter of beta ray-emitting radioactive substances – including strontium – at the site, a level 6,500 times higher than readings taken on Wednesday, NHK World reported. On Wednesday TEPCO said it had detected high levels of radiation in a ditch leading to the Pacific Ocean, and that it suspected heavy rains had lifted contaminated soil. |

Have family and friends who fish off coast and in the Puget Sound. Last Geoduck season, I was told that all the necks very thin and the shells seemed to be brittle. I haven't been Geoduck digging in many years. And it could have just been the area my friends were in. But still... Even more concerning, here locally, a lot of asians like to have then raw for sushi. Then gain, if radiation is in them, I guess it doesn't matter if there cooked. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

Is it possible the fish she found were in transformation stage before turning red for the spawn? Need an expert to chime in on this. I'm no expert but I wouldn't eat ANY commercial fish, ie, McDonalds, Captain D's, Red Lobster, ect. I'd also bet all the sea critters washing up in record numbers are somehow tied together. My opinion is the entire Pacific is tainted or soon will be. I sure wouldn't be eating or swimming in it. Here we have a situation that makes Hiroshima look like child's play and yet it's not even worthy enough to be in the nightly news. You'd think by now, nations would have come together in common mind and work together to find a solution...unless there simply IS no solution. This should be a GLOBAL issue, yet it isn't. Patro |

I agree with you. I have found it amazing that our government is willing to go to war over a country that has chemicals and yet not address the problem here. |
