I used to work tugboats on the Great Lakes. Sometimes ships just sink. It's the nature of the beast. They all either end up on the bottom or in the scrap yard in the end.

Word is that people who have seen the wreck, that it first bottomed out and started taking on water. The Arthur Anderson was riding behind them and said they were riding low in the water. After taking on a bunch of water the ship was vulnerable to the 30 ft waves which snapped the Fitz in half and went straight to the bottom in 2 pieces!

I think it truly was a bad storm they had no business being out in! The last radio message sent by the big Fitz was " we are holding our own" that was it ! Moments later, she snapped in two and sank to the bottom of Lake Superior ! The deepest fresh water lake in the World!

Yep. While eating a pizza and drinking some beers with some buddies a few weeks ago who had never heard the song, I told them the story and the controversy surrounding the sinking of that ship.

After telling my conspiracy theory buddy about the "who done it", he told me that he could tell me "who done it."

I said, "amazing, do you have ESP or something?"

He said, "no, I dont" and then told me to just "give me the numbers."

I said, "what do you mean?"

He said to give him the relevant numbers, which I had known from doing some internet research on this event.

He said to give him the date, time, month, crew members, etc.

So, I told him it happened on 11-11-75 @ 7:11pm, 29 crew members, 666 miles from D.C., etc.

He said, "stop."

He knows who did it.

With all these numbers, he said that the zonists did it.

He didnt need to know anymore he said.

He said that it was planned and that based on what I had told him afterwards, ie., the ship was in 2 at the bottom of the lake, and each half of the ship was not near the other, that the ship broke up on the surface and drifted in 2 pieces to the bottom. He speculated that perhpaps some kiind of explosive charge was used and the only way to tell was to take a submersible down to the ship and look for evidence of explosions on the hull/hatches. What ships were near it who could have remotely set off the charges, or were they anywhere near shore where a radio device could do the same?

He also said that the perps were probably long since dead by now, so no one would probably fund an underwater expedition to the site to look for this evidence.

We also agreed on the Cui bono thoery, ie., who benefited from the sinking of this ship? Insurance job?
Another vessel slightly bigger than the Fitz was built and at sea only shortly thereafter. Who got the Fitz transport jobs after it was sunk?

Jealousy? The biggest ship on the lakes owned by one of the biggest insurance companies in the USA, was named after the CEO of NW Mutual Life. Everyday they had to see the name Edmund Fitzgerald in big letters go by them and remind them just how small they are.
