Had 1/2 day at work today and decided to work it from home. Mainly because I'm having a knee issue all the sudden, and my office is on the 2nd floor with stairs being the only option to get there. Knee appears to be slightly improved, though. Twas nice to sleep in today! I slept later than I have in a while, including recent weekends.

Later today I'm on a mission to get my magnesium and other magical herbs and vitamins. Can't wait! I also am starting acupuncture next week for a few things, including my shoulder problem which I hear acupuncture has great success with (might have to add my knee to that list, we'll see). Hoping all this shit works, because I really don't want to have to go to a doctor.

Pick up some lavender scented epsom salt too, couple good soaks will do shoudler and knee some good. I used to knee issues due to hormone imbalance believe it or not. Progesterone causes loose ligaments so if its a little high in relation to estrogen it can be a problem for joints during perimenopause. This is especially the case if the pain kind of comes and goes. Its resolved since I went through menopause.

Very interesting, I have not read about this. In addition to the aches and pains, I do believe for other reasons I have a hormonal imbalance going on, and that is the main reason I made the acupuncture appointment. It's just luck that acupuncture has also proven effective for my shoulder issue.

I got the epsom salt with eucalyptus! Sounded most refreshing at the time, but I had a hard time deciding because there were so many options. Also got my turmeric, manuka honey, MSM, and some delicious sounding turmeric verbena lime tea, which I will try later tonight. The liquid magnesium I couldn't find and will have to order online. I'm also going to see if they recommend any magical Chinese herbs or teas when I go to the acupuncture place.

I was just wondering about this the other day - food based soy. I think I'm going to just start with the acupuncture and go from there. I am a big believer in it, and it's worked wonders for me in the past with different ailments. As I said to my coworker, "worst case scenario, I'll just go to the doctor". He thought that was hilarious. I guess it is chuckle-worthy the way it came out, but it's damn true. I'll try most things before I'll go to the doctor. I've even removed small moles on my arm with apple cider vinegar.

DHOOM BREAK...DOES ANY ONE OF "YOU PEOPLE" REMEMBER POP TARTS
WITH
NO FROSTING...'NO FROSTING'!?!?
DOES ANY ONE REMEMBER THEM....?
 Quoting: UH 76584809

Yes. And I wish they'd bring them back. I HATE frosting.
 Quoting: ~Jazzy~

I remember the unfrosted pop tarts, although I never really ate them, even as a kid (mom wouldn't buy them). What I do wish they would stop putting frosting or other sweet coating on is granola bars. I'm telling you, the majority of the granola bars out there have some sort of chocolate or "yogurt" or other sweet covering, at least on one side if not the entire thing. And it's always sickening sweet, which I do not want in the a.m. (which is when I would most likely eat a granola bar). It got so hard to find something basic with nuts and granola, without sugary coating or chocolate chips or what not, I finally gave up on 'em.
 Quoting: KickinIt

ikr! You can't find ANYTHING without that nasty frosting or sickening sugar glaze shit. Why does everything have to be gut turning sweet? And they seem to go out of their way to make anything that isn't stuffed with sugar as blan and dry as they can.

Yes. And I wish they'd bring them back. I HATE frosting.

It got so hard to find something basic with nuts and granola, without sugary coating or chocolate chips or what not, I finally gave up on 'em.

ikr! You can't find ANYTHING without that nasty frosting or sickening sugar glaze shit. Why does everything have to be gut turning sweet? And they seem to go out of their way to make anything that isn't stuffed with sugar as blan and dry as they can.
