A cool local story for y'all...

There is a local farm called TMT farms that puts on a Christmas show every year. They have acres upon acres of lights, and inflatables, and old cars done up in lights. They even have a 'village' made up for Christmas pictures and such. They don't charge anyone to drive through, but they take donations of food, mostly canned goods, as well as pet food and they give it to the local animal shelters and the food bank.

So far this year they have had over 25 tons of food donated!

From what I've read they actually added 11 acres this year that we haven't seen. We will be headed out with our donation on Thursday afternoon.

EDIT:
It's long, but here is a vid of last year's display.

 Quoting: mistersplinter

That is so cool! I'd love to visit and see that display. What a wonderful thing of them to do with the donations and they sure do get a lot of them! : )

So far 10 appointments scheduled with National Jewish. I have been to a few of them already. January will be the most, plus all the follow ups!
Tomorrow will be the last appointment till after the 1st of the year, thank goodness! Having the next spinal injections to make sure everything is where they want it and then 2 separate appts for the RF ablations.

Trying to get things ready for Christmas between all that, lol.

I appreciate a good light show! I always watch The Great Christmas Light Fight each year on ABC. It just ended on Monday. I have seen some incredible light displays on that show, and there's quite a variety on the approach the teams/families take on their displays. If you've never watched it, you should catch it next year.

I watched this last night - it's a PBS show called We'll Meet Again. It's a great show if you've never seen it. This episode was about 2 different people who survived the 1964 Alaska earthquake as kids. Each has his/her own story about the EQ experience, and they both are looking to reunite with childhood friends who they were separated from after the quake, when nearly everyone from their destroyed town had to flee immediately because there were no resources and almost all homes crumbled. They abruptly lost touch with their neighbors and friends and, in those days, didn't really have a way to find each other.

I think you all will really like it. Their stories are so detailed, you feel like you were right there with them. Their descriptions really tell you how powerful that quake was. And the aftermath, too, which was even more interesting to me. Things you don't think about - like these people as kids who were ripped from the only life they knew in those few minutes, and how the abrupt separation from that life and the people in it affected them for a lifetime, not being able to say goodbye. I highly recommend you bookmark the link below for later, it's the complete episode.
