,,,evenin' all,,
Simple glad you got the gears in motion for Nef,,,we all continue in prayer for you..
,,,son has had the "forever" cough since Christmas,,,just now getting some relief. Apparently it is viral, but the doctor had him on 3 different antiobiotics / prednisone / codiene syrup. He tore up his muscles over his ribs,,
It's going around,,,Goofy had a thread about it.
Then daughter arrives Monday from CA with some shit flu she got on the plane,so spent the week nurturing these two.
,,,thankfully no flu for me yet,,
,,,finally got 1/4 inch of snow, big deal,,,and brutal cold..

,,,folks, keep your hands washed like you have OCD, so you don't get these terrible flu's out there..

luv & air hugs

A high risk of much below-normal temperatures is possible during the last week of January for the Great Lakes, Midwest, and Ohio Valley tied to multiple intrusions of arctic air. Frosts/freezes are also possible for the citrus growing regions of Florida. [link to www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov] …

Simple, how much snow are they predicting for your area at this point? Last I looked, it seemed like you could get a foot or so. I'm curious about Isis. I forget where she is exactly, but I heard NEPA is due to get a foot or so as well. I hope my focused thoughts worked and she's going to have a good snow-in! Now I just need to send it Arnie's way...

They still have no clue how much snow we're going to get here. It will be minimal compared to last weekend - I'm hearing anywhere from 2-4", however, there are pockets surrounding us that are slated for 6" or more, so I guess anything goes. But it's going to be a mess out there tomorrow regardless, because we are going to get all forms of precipitation. Starting w/rain tonight, turning to freezing rain and/or sleet, then to snow. What time it turns to snow will impact how much we get. There will also be brutally cold winds kicking in tomorrow, so although we aren't getting a ton of snow, it's going to be blowing around like a blizzard and nothing's going to melt because the temps are going to dip so low.
 Quoting: KickinIt

The amount we'll get is still questionable here too. The last I heard on the news was 8-16 inches. We start with heavy snow early tomorrow night through Sunday at some point and then it will turn into sleet and/or ice and then back to snow. I'm curious what the 10:00 news will have to say.
 Quoting: Simple27

That's interesting that the prediction there is such a wide range. that's the situation here, but it's more like anywhere from 1"-6". I assumed it was because we seem to be in a weird spot where the slightest change could impact things, but maybe this whole storm is hard to predict regardless of the location. Assuming you fall in that 8-16" range, even on the low end, that's a good snow so I hope you enjoy it!
 Quoting: KickinIt

I'm excited for it! : )

Also worried though because Nef will be driving home tomorrow night during the heaviest of the snow. And then driving to and from work on Sunday. It's a 45 minute ride each way on a clear day. He also hasn't had much experience with driving in the snow. And he's taking my vehicle lol. Ahhhhh!!!

State of emergency declared in Pennsylvania, New Jersey as Midwest, Northeast rush to finalize snowstorm preparations

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf declared a state of emergency on Friday, as the winter storm approaches. The declaration will allow for increased assistance with storm-related needs.

"We'll be aggressive in managing this storm — snowfall rates could exceed 1-2 inches per hour. Our top concern is the safety of residents. Postpone travel if you can, and be aware of changing conditions," Wolf said in a tweet.

Pennsylvanian is imposing speed restriction and a ban on all commercial traffic on most interstates and the Pennsylvania Turnpike between noon on Saturday and noon on Sunday.

Pipeline explodes in central Mexico, causing many casualties

A ruptured pipeline has exploded while hundreds of people were trying to fill containers with fuel, killing an unknown number of people and injuring dozens more, officials and witnesses say.

Footage from the scene showed a huge fire burning at the scene, and several photos showed burning bodies.
