YIKES! A lot of places feeling the effects of both Alaska and/ or NZ. This was posted last night, but posting again for those who might have missed it: [ link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Was also thinking: regarding the underground seas-all the fracking could well cause fissures, destabilization- the scene from NOAH with the jets of water erupting from the earth... keeps playing in my mind. Keep vigilant and safe, everyone. |

I've been up and on the computer since around 6:30ish. Yesterday, all though a cloudy day, it was in the upper 70s. So we had a mild night, in the upper 50's. It's 60 right now in Seattle. As soon and I got coffee and logged on, I opened a window. I noticed there is absoulty no birdies makes the usual summer calls. They sorta start around 5am this time of year. Not a robin, starling, sparrow or even the crows yacking. There's a good population of crows around the block. Even in the city, this time of year the birds are pretty loud until around 8-9am ish. The weather is also sorta off. In the fact, it is very humid at 89% and 60 degrees this early. Especially for a fully cloudy sky. Last night most of the metro area was hit with a wide spread, light shower around 9pm last night, it lasted about 45 minutes. It stunk like bitter old vegetables and the smell of salt water. I'm 3 miles from the Sound, up hill. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |
