Hi IM !

Was thinking about you the other day, how you can express so beautifully, affection and encouragement.

Was thinking you should start up a line of greeting cards (you are also good at graphics?)...

I free-lanced some cards sold to companies many years ago, because I can roll off poems and lyrics so easily,,,

But cards today are more into statements, not schmaltzy little poems,,,

Maybe you could sell them on Amazon, or make store displays...

Anyway, just a thought..

love you always,,,you're one in a million...

ODD ! I had a dream last night that I was on a sandy ocean beach playing with some people. The waves kept coming bigger and bigger, and then there was a final wave that came up to cover the entire beach, and we all exclaimed that this one was a record wave. That's it, just that last wave. Woke up wondering about this........

You are the sweetest Arnie. I love you right back. I do think you are absolutely awesome. hugs

Funny and sweet that you mention that. I had a talk the other day with a great contact in my network and he recommended me to a cardboard company here in town that is in the process of starting value selling. Expensive word for putting client based slogans on cardboard boxes, displays and such. And they apparently also look for someone in their Ordermanagement, which is more in line with what I used to do. So I sent my resumé through my contact last week.

Haven't heard back from them yet, so it could also lead to nothing, but I will call them myself end of this week if they haven't contacted me.

In the meantime I am helping this contact with his website as organisation consultant. Based on catchy statements and such, with a personal feel to it. It is what I like, next to writing columns and such. And I wrote so many lyrics to all kinds of songs and occasions as well.

I am in the process of translating my columns from Dutch into English as well, now that I have the time for it.

Here are a few I did so far:

[link to www.booksie.com (secure)]

I am also considering putting my Dutch columns in a paper back, combined with poems I wrote along the line. People have asked me for that, even though I always considered my writing to be fun and a hobby.

A few years ago I posted a thread here with poetry, Calm the Chaos:

Thread: The GLP Poetry Thread. Calm the Chaos.

My graphics qualities are less, but I have a former colleague, with whom I really did a lot of cartoons, or he would make a drawing and I would put a slogan on it. We did that for a long time for our daily report. People loved it so much that in the end they didn't read the report, but just the cartoon with the slogan, lol. We even won a prize contest with it, story too long to mention it here. ;-)

You are right, it is a field that gives me new energy. I guess I am still dreading the fact that you need a network and a firm basis of clients to make a living. So I would prefer a combination, till I can make a living out of it.

You should share some of your poetry as well. You have such a creative soul yourself, passionate, your music, writing etc. You also could easily publish them for sure!

Thank you for this Arnie. You give such positive energy. Love you for that!

And apologies for the length of this reply, also to others. Sometimes the blessing of writing can be a curse as well. tomato I call it Broad Speech.. ;-)

OMG Arnie, I am the same way. I wouldn't have guessed this about you, I really didn't think you were afraid of anything! I pretty much freak out about all bugs (minus ladybugs and fireflies), but spiders in particular are my true nemesis. I was in the backyard talking to my neighbor a week or so ago, and saw two HUGE wolf spiders. They were minding their own business making a gigantic web of hell, but they still freaked me out. Those things easily had a diameter close to 3". If something that big got in my house, I'd have to get a neighbor or friend to come over to get rid of it. I don't think I could bring myself to get close enough to it to kill it. It cracks me up just to think of you out in your yard with that spray can!

Mercury, Earth and Uranus are lining up. Often, seismic activity first drops below M 5. A first (moderate) seismic increase may occur a day later. Large seismic activity usually occurs 2-4 days after the alignment(s). But this also depends on the condition of Earth's crust.

Just got through a very stressful baseball game here (which I realize no one cares about, but I have to talk about it). We were down 1-2 in the series, so today was a must-win. The game was back and forth, eventually we were down by a run. Fan favorite and future HOF Yadier Molina tied it in the 8th, then freaking won it for us in the 10th! We live to see another game, but we have to go back to ATL for it.
