I'm hesitant to even type it because I'm afraid I will somehow curse and reverse it lol, but I'm starting to feel better finally! There's still some spot pain here and there at times, but it's no longer radiating throughout my entire body 24/7. Thank GOD!
Energy and strength are slowing creeping back in. : )
This has been so very scary for me. The sudden onset of constant moderate-severe pain all over my body that lasted WEEKS scared the shit out of me. When it took my ability to walk that Wednesday night weeks ago, it freaked me out so badly that my anxiety/stress has been through the roof. Granted I was only immobilized fully for 20-30 minutes, but I was immobilized FULLY. Scariest thing. Crazy pain.
And I don't know that I'm going to be able to go back to work for that man. He is true poison for my soul. And in all reality, any attorney would be like a kid in a candy shop if I filed a harassment/discrimination lawsuit against him. It would be a slam dunk, guaranteed huge win. He is such a terrible person. Nef got laid off. Shocking eh? Timing is just a coincidence I'm sure. Pffftttt. The retaliations have already begun due to my leave of absence. My "medically necessary leave of absence" mind you. That is 100% illegal in the good ol' United States. He's crossed the legality line multiple times already since I notified him of this leave.
Quoting: Simple27 I am so happy to read this Sim. it is proof how much you need this break. And you won't curse it, I believe a big part of it is the unreal level of stress and anxiety you were experiencing the past year(s), from that
other four letter word, doctors not being able to pinpoint what caused your symptoms and private stuff and now that you are more at ease, positive energy is flowing back and the clouds in your mind are being replaced by more rays of sunshine.
And I am sorry to read about Nef being laid off. It is all part of the same story regarding work. Like getting even with you for being sick. What a weak, sad figure that boss is. Not even fit to call himself boss. I could tell you a similar experience, but I won't, because it will not contribute to your healing process. Same with the lawyer. I agree with Kickin', but it does not help, not now. Maybe later.
It is all about emotional blackmail, slavery, abuse, making people dependent and scare them by telling them they will never work in that field again if they quit. Even while you are sick. You heard it all through the years.
Now you are getting a bit back to yourself, even though the road is still long, your eyes open up more as well. And that is a very positive sign. So focus on that. Find that strength back in body and mind. And you will realize yourself how qualified you are. That you are above that abuse. So turn it around, make the negative a positive.
You have a beautiful family, your Irish willpower or call it stubbornness (which ever translates best, lol), fantastic skills and qualifications and a solid record of your journey through life so far to proof how you got on top of practically every mountain you climbed and many beautiful years ahead of you. If that does not convince you of the person you are, I don't know what does.
I know, life sometimes plain sucks, but with all of that under your belt you can attack life to the fullest. You have Nef, you have Mini, backing you all the way and more. You did good girl. And Nef will find something new again too. He's a qualified guy as well. Nothing can touch you.
Explore new job opportunities when the mindset is ready for it in the coming time, now that the sky is clearing up and you are still at home. Tell your boss when he calls, that his abusing your sick leave is counter productive and that YOU will contact HIM again when you feel like it, after consulting with your doctor. He may not like it and get mad and unreasonable, but that is his problem, his sign of weakness, not yours. You have seen it all before and came out back on top. So be clear to him when he does this next time.
And it is very much okay to tell yourself that you are proud of yourself at times. That too gives positive power, strength and confidence for the future. So yes, you did good Sim. More than good!
