WINTER STORM WARNINGBLIZZARD WARNING...HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS TO IMPACT NORTH-CENTRAL AND
NORTHEAST COLORADO LATE TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...
.A storm system moving over Colorado will bring moderate to heavy
snowfall starting in the mountains late tonight, then spreading
over the plains Thursday morning into the afternoon. Winds gusting
up to 55 mph across the plains will create hazardous travel
conditions especially Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. The
strongest winds will occur just east of I-25, while the heaviest
snow may occur in and near the Front Range Foothills and Palmer
Divide. Very heavy snow is expected Thursday afternoon with
snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour possible. Precipitation
will begin as rain Thursday morning and then change to snow during
the late morning and early after. This leads to low confidence in
snow.
