Quick papa update. Apparently the lowering fever hasn't exactly been lowering consistently. He's stable, but having spikes in his fever.

I'm not sure if he ate lunch or dinner (nanny wasn't sure), but she mentioned that he ate a muffin and some cereal this morning. That made me feel a little better. I do worry about the fever spikes, and don't know how high they're getting.

My mom called the nurse's station earlier today and they wouldn't give her any info on the meds he is receiving. When I asked nanny a few hours ago she still had no idea. I told her that she needs to ask the nurse this question and get a clear answer. She said she will ask tomorrow morning.

Have they determined it is not covid?

Still waiting on the test result. I guess the lab at the hospital isn't open during the weekend (wtf?!), so the earliest we will have the result is Monday. The nurse told my mom earlier that she would be surprised if it came back negative. :|

Ok, did you see that Cuomo outlawed giving chloroquin in New York, and two other democrat controlled states have done the same. They act like more can't be produced??? Ridiculous! Why would he outlaw it?

I don't understand either. I think Michigan is one of the other locations who have banned it.

I saw an article recently saying that doctors were hoarding it. No shit. It said they were prescribing it to themselves and their families to store up. I'll see if I can find the link.

Meanwhile, none of us know what they are even giving papa! Nanny is his proxy, so she's the only one they'll give info to. And she just doesn't know the detailed questions to be asking right now. I wish I could be the liaison here, but I can't be, at least not yet. I'm hoping to get on the 'speak to' list since I will (God willing) be the person to pick him up and discharge him eventually. I don't want to overwhelm nanny anymore than she already is right now though, so I'm not pushing it just yet. So long as he's stable.

These freaking people. I'm sorry. I've had it up to here with people posting things like they don't care, they're just going to go out and have out to eat like all fuck all and think it won't happen to them meanwhile hospital staff are taking days off...

MGH Surgeon Predicts Coronavirus In Massachusetts Will Soon Look Like New York

BOSTON (CBS) — Hospital staff around the country are treating coronavirus patients while trying to keep themselves safe. A surgeon on the front lines at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) said it has been a big change.

“The biggest challenge right now with this COVID-19 is just the change of how the hospital is working,” said Myron Rolle, a neurosurgery resident at MGH. “If you were to look at this hospital five months ago it would be completely different.”

“I think Massachusetts right now is a little bit behind New York, but in a week or two, from what we’re hearing, it’s probably going to reach New York or even supercede New York honestly,” Dr. Rolle said.

Push it. Get a hospital administrator on the phone and make sure to say it’s a safety issue that they get you on the list. Emphasize safety issue. Politely ask for names and departments. Document these calls.
