I haven't seen the crosses. What would be really cool is Luminaria's like this in NM where I grew up but made into a cross in the yard

There is this weird thing trending right now where people go outside at 8 pm their time and howl and cheer in support of all the care givers.

So, tonight for the first time, since I didn't know about it last night until after it happened, I went out with daughter to listen and sure enough the who neighborhood erupted in howls and cheers. Way off in the distance to next door. So of course me being me, I started howling.

Daughter says "that's it! I'm out of here." She was laughing but embarrassed like anyone could see us in the dark. Sheeeeeesh. No sense of fun.

I stayed out there and howled till it stopped and I was laughing with tears rolling down my face. What a perfect way to release all that stress. This is highly recommended to everyone here!

For some reason we haven't picked up on that trend here. There was a night last week when everyone put a candle or light on their front porch in support of all the healthcare workers. I don't think it was as effective, and most people forgot including myself. Letting out a big scream sounds better.

I haven't heard of this either. I'll go check tomorrow night.

What I have seen is a LOT of lighted crosses in peoples yards. "Faith over Fear" or something similar is what my wonderful wife told me...plus Easter coming.

The small NM town I am from, whole neighborhoods did it. Those who didn't, someone would do it for them so the street was all done. Many, including our family, would put a cross out in the yard with them. Always done on Christmas Eve only

I have a bad feeling about this. And with the magnetosphere going haywire all evening, seemingly for no explainable reason, makes me all the more nervous.

I do too Vegz, the quake activity is way too quiet considering all this craziness, plus let's not forget it's a full supermoon! I felt exactly like you do last night. Today just heart flutters here and there, and lots of ear ringing.

Now that there is a glimmer of blue skies at the horizon again, I thought this is the right time to post some more pictures of my bike ride this week. This time from the other side of the river..

[link to myalbum.com (secure)]

The last picture I took yesterday in the town where I was born. It is a stork's nest. Usually every year they return to this nest to give birth. In this picture I guess father stork is out chasing food.. (I assume they don't need toilet paper.)

Hope you enjoy it and get a smile from it. Stay safe out there everyone. Much love to all of you. hf

So scratch my previous papa update! New update is that they are NOT giving up on him! I guess it wasn't fluid in his lung. He has a blood clot in his lung. Although not great news, they can try treating the blood clot. And they will try. The good news is that they aren't quitting on him!!

It didn't make sense at all. I was in such disbelief and sadness. When the next update came in I was so happy that I lost it again. My whole family was put through the ringer yesterday with the ups and downs. I woke up again this morning throwing up. Definitely nerves as I feel good now. Everyone is in much better spirits today. I do have a wonderful family. Everyone is checking on each other. Aunts, uncles and cousins even. We're all praying so hard for papa. He is so loved, by so many people.

I feel good about things today. I know how quickly things can change, but we got an update a couple of hours ago and they said he is doing better today. His heart is beating normal at 60 beats per minute. Blood pressure is good and his fever is down to 100 (last night they said no fever so I'm a little confused by that part). The nurse said he had a good night and he looks better. They're treating the blood clot with medication. Still treating the infection. The nurse said she thinks hearing nanny's voice helped him. : ) I do too! I'm sure the music is helping too. Papa is a music man.

This made me laugh out loud!!!

I'd like to do this, but since I live kind of out in the country, I'm aftaid if I started whooping & hollering the neighbors are likely to dial 9-1-1!!! Of course, when the sheriff deputies show up, I can just thank them in person...

still to plant: peas, pinto beans, beets, corn, cucumbers

Also, I've been experiencing the same physical symptoms as all of you. Headache, ringing in my ears, nausea, dizziness. Was worried I was getting sick, but guess it's just the magnetosphere getting to me. Whew! Glad it's not the virus!!!

Very pretty! Man, that stork's nest is HUGE! Birds around here are building nests like crazy. When I get up in the morning there's always a ton of twigs all over the place. Since I'm home 24/7 I've been watching the birds even more than usual. The robins are no longer afraid of me like they used to be, which is kind of interesting. They practically come right up to me and stare like they're saying hello. And there's a damn one-eyed squirrel that's trying to destroy the maple tree in my backyard. He's always up in that tree pulling off the leaf buds and eating them! Yesterday I saw the bastard going to great lengths to reach branches he couldn't otherwise - crawling across a power line, then jumping and hanging off a branch until he got a little cluster of barely-there leaves. It's a younger tree so many of the branches are not sturdy and he's broken several off. It's pissing me off! It's always the same squirrel - the others don't do it. I know it's the same one because he's one-eyed. He's angry and bitter because of that one eye, hence he's taking it out on that tree. That's my assessment.

Great update. I can feel all the love in that post and I’m sure your Papa can too. No wonder he’s getting better!

I miss those days as well. That thread was a lot of fun. Hopefully, we aren't going into a grand minimum and we will have some more bigguns in the next few years.

This is crazy to watch

Found this video posted just 5-10 minutes ago showing in motion since yesterday. Absolutely insane to see!!!

That was awesome and way more than magnetotail reconnection. There are some folks who think a brown dwarf comes up “behind” earth and causes this disturbance.

That is a good video!

I just happened to think - I wonder if this is why Simple has thrown up the past few days?? I assumed it was stress, but maybe it was this based on all the physical symptoms in that other thread.

Now I wonder about my headache yesterday. It was the worst I've had in years. I was sure it was heat related - I don't like the heat, I couldn't breathe in that mask, etc. But maybe it was this. I also felt crappy in general last night, hence why I took my temperature. I felt a bit of nausea but not to the point of getting sick. Today I've felt much better overall, but I slept like crap last night, got up way earlier than I needed, and I've had heart flutters multiple times today.
