We also have a new view of the garden! The fence is up! Not that it is going to keep these guys out, but I have to try something! Oh and Chunk literally stands fully upright at on point! He is so tall! But let's not forget about Pesty The Squirrel. Pesty makes a grand appearance. Boy is he silly! We got another quick tomato heist by Mocky The Mockingbird. And remember Chunk is full of surprises so you'll never know what to expect! Chunk Don't Eat Junk!

So yesterday afternoon, was sitting in my den with grandson & his 12 yr old sister, watching a silly tv show. We were all laughing and joking about a video of "aliens", just having a good time. Grandson was standing up, to my left. All of a sudden he makes a loud, weird groaning noise. I look over and he is going completely rigid, his eyes roll back in his head, and he starts to fall like a chopped down tree. He falls and hits a big cardboard box I had near my chair, which saved him from hitting the coffee table with his head. He was jerking like he was being hit with a high power electric charge.
He had a grand mal seizure, out of the blue. Never had a seizure before. Had come out of it by the time the ambulance got here. Vitals were relatively normal, so he didn't go to the hospital. I kept a close eye on him all night, but he didn't have any more problems. We will be calling his neurologist that treats his migraines, Monday.
That scared me sooo bad! To watch that happen and not be able to do anything! So blessed that he didn't get injured when he fell! Will feel much better if we can get some idea of what caused this to happen!
Quoting: justanothergranny Oh no, your poor grandson! Seizures suck, I had them as a teen and they're no fun to go through. I am sure witnessing that was a horrific shock because you didn't know what was happening to the poor kid. Prayers for you all. Quoting: ScarlettRedfern Thank you. ...
We in the Angel house have all wondered if Miss Angel and myself had it in mid-January.
Quoting: WhiteAngel I think it's been going around for a while. I recall a number of threads back around the holidays when people were posting about a horrid "cold" with a really bad cough that they just couldn't shake and it really wiped em out for at least 2 weeks, many for longer. I remember people in my town saying that as well, and one person in particular at my work had it. Quoting: KickinIt That was us but with the aches and pains of the flu Here is the biggie, neither of us could taste our food right or it tasted wrong. Everyone was complaining about the litter box stinking and I couldn't smell it - even though my nose was clear - usually I am the first to know when one of the kitties passed a bomb! Quoting: WhiteAngel Oh, that's very interesting you lost your sense of smell/taste. I assume that came back? I think the aches and pains can come with Covid for some, but the smell/taste loss is not something that comes with a regular flu (unless you're totally stuffed up, of course). If we assume this was going around as early as December, the question is why it didn't spread like wildfire then as it is now, especially with many getting together in groups for Xmas, new years, etc. Quoting: KickinIt I was sick for nearly 6 weeks, and aside from the bad coughing, bad chest congestion and fatigue, I also lost my taste. Didn't know anyone else that had that, til later. Finally, about 5 weeks in, I tested positive for flu A. But no diagnosis til then. Even had Baby S during some of that time, but luckily she never got sick. TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch |

Quoting: justanothergranny Omg, this is so scary granny! Thank God things weren't worse. Sending prayers for a full recovery with no complications. And big virtual comforting hugs. Quoting: Simple27 Granny my dog started having seizures seemingly out of the blue last fall. Turns out it was the flea and tick medication. My point being has he started any medications lately? Vaccines? Quoting: Isis One He takes meds for his migraines, and also takes anti-anxiety meds. But he's been taking them for over 4 months. But he absolutely has to talk to his doctors to see if something is reacting. No vaccines. TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch |

The emotional roller coaster with Papa hasn't ended. There is never a consistent path. :( His oxygen saturation had dropped to 87% this afternoon. No improvements in a couple of days now, after that wonderful wave of positive updates. Lots of tears. Lots of fear. And still...lots of hope! His chart just finally uploaded his oxygen saturation test from just a couple of hours ago and it's now at 96%! They've had to increase his ventilator settings, but that's okay. So long as his oxygen is normal again. Please keep praying for my papa <3 He really does need a miracle here. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
