Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated*5.1 Mariana Islands*5.0 Mariana Islands ~ Pg 20373
I got pretty sick last night. It's still spooking me out a bit. I felt fine all day yesterday until completely out of nowhere my back started killing. I don't often get backaches, but the last time that I did, I ended up throwing up so I was nervous yesterday that I may end up in the same situation. I sure did too. I threw up several times, including a lot of painful dry heaving. I took some Tylenol but threw up probably 15 minutes later. I tried a heating pad for a long time, but that didn't help either. I was freezing, but sweating. It was miserable really. I decided to take some Ambien to try to sleep it off.

Woke up several times with the back pain and the hot/cold issues. Sweating under the blankets, but if the wind from the fan hit anything but my face, instant chills.

Back is still hurting today, but nothing like last night. I couldn't even use the laptop last night because of the pain. I haven't thrown up yet today and was able to hold the Tylenol down, thank God. I had the sweats/chills when I first got up, but sat outside in the sun for a few minutes and that seems to have helped somehow.

Just really strange, all of it. No fever though.

I would take it easy today and stick to bland foods. I also would lay off the tylenol, which is very hard on your gut. Some potential culprits might be a UTI or gallbladder issues. Or, you're just having gut issues which sometimes can cause pain that radiates to your back. Fingers crossed it's nothing more than some nausea and I hope you feel better soon!

Hey KickIn, mister & IM - I'm a died-in-the-wool 80's rocker. Well, age-wise, I rocked in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's! But I'm particularly fond of 80's music. I have my truck radio set to 80's music, so I enjoy riding around! I was an original MTV fan - played it loud enough the windows rattled. Really have fun playing good tunes and dancing with Baby S - she LOVES to dance. Anyway, glad to know my computer friends love some of the same things I do!!!

Yes!
The 80s on 8 and Hair Nation are go-to stations.

I love good music from all of those decades as well, but the 80s were my formative years...they hold a special place in my heart.

I remember being an MTV junkie as well. It was cheesy as hell at first, but some artists REALLY upped their game and expanded the medium.

HeadBangers Ball FTW!

Loved the dancing chickens!!! Can't seem to get any of my chickens to dance around like that!!! lol
 Quoting: justanothergranny

Há Granny hugs To me 70s was the best era for music of them all, even though the 60s had some great vibes as well. Die hard AC/DC fan in those days, saw them rocking over here a couple times. We had a weekly hour of hard rock and metal from 1976 on (I was 16), called Betonuur (concrete hour) on the public radio on Tuesdays between 5 and 6 pm, that was extremely popular. Epic radio. Turning up the volume made even my neighbors big fans, whether they liked it or not. Life was so much more simple then. Where are those days!!!

MTV changed the word of music videos forever. Dire Straits, Peter Gabriel & Genesis were typical examples. It was great tv in those years. Now not so much anymore with all that reality shit and endless commercial breaks. Or I must be getting old.. or a combination of the two. Thank God for YouTube. tounge

And let's not forget to mention Captain Carter's Epic GLP Jukebox Thread, where not only the biggest variety of music is played, but people get together, have a great time, share all kinds of emotions, from silly stuff to love to comforting who needs it and friendships for life develop, like this Epic Earthquake thread is as well. The two best threads in the universe. hf

I often wonder where Captain is, salute him every time and hope that one day he will make an appearance again.

Sorry for the long two cents. But it truly is a feel good moment. Much love to Texas! hf

What is up with the Midwest today?? Earthquakes in Ohio, Ontario and Illinois/Missouri. Not to mention OK getting pounded. And now looks like Japan is getting antsy.

Also saw a few EQs off of Oregon around where Dutch said a big one needs to hit to relieve all the pressure that's coming from across the plate. But they looked alot smaller than what needs to happen.....

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. That's sounds pretty intense, especially coming on so fast. I have endometriosis and that affects my back and sometimes stomach problems but never puking but you might be onto something. Hormones are crazy things and can affect so much.

Also what about gallbladder issues? I get the sweats and puking and dry heaving with the chills(but no back pain) when I drink too much the night before. I'm pretty sure it's my gallbladder. Or my liver I guess....

The pressure he described seems pretty intense. I'm not sure I've heard of a survivor thinking their ears were going to explode from the pressure. Maybe I just don't watch enough interviews with people who have gone through a tornado.
