The other was basically on the NMSZ at the ILL/MO border. Ohio quakes are certainly more unusual but not unheard of. Fun fact: first quake I ever felt was in Ohio! It was small, maybe a 2.5. But my aunt and I both felt it and noticed stuff rattling in the house. |

It's still spooking me out a bit. I felt fine all day yesterday until completely out of nowhere my back started killing. I don't often get backaches, but the last time that I did, I ended up throwing up so I was nervous yesterday that I may end up in the same situation. I sure did too. I threw up several times, including a lot of painful dry heaving. I took some Tylenol but threw up probably 15 minutes later. I tried a heating pad for a long time, but that didn't help either. I was freezing, but sweating. It was miserable really. I decided to take some Ambien to try to sleep it off.
Woke up several times with the back pain and the hot/cold issues. Sweating under the blankets, but if the wind from the fan hit anything but my face, instant chills.
Back is still hurting today, but nothing like last night. I couldn't even use the laptop last night because of the pain. I haven't thrown up yet today and was able to hold the Tylenol down, thank God. I had the sweats/chills when I first got up, but sat outside in the sun for a few minutes and that seems to have helped somehow.
Just really strange, all of it. No fever though.

The 80s on 8 and Hair Nation are go-to stations. I love good music from all of those decades as well, but the 80s were my formative years...they hold a special place in my heart. I remember being an MTV junkie as well. It was cheesy as hell at first, but some artists REALLY upped their game and expanded the medium. HeadBangers Ball FTW! Quoting: mistersplinter Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer Loved the dancing chickens!!! Can't seem to get any of my chickens to dance around like that!!! lol Quoting: justanothergranny Há Granny To me 70s was the best era for music of them all, even though the 60s had some great vibes as well. Die hard AC/DC fan in those days, saw them rocking over here a couple times. We had a weekly hour of hard rock and metal from 1976 on (I was 16), called Betonuur (concrete hour) on the public radio on Tuesdays between 5 and 6 pm, that was extremely popular. Epic radio. Turning up the volume made even my neighbors big fans, whether they liked it or not. Life was so much more simple then. Where are those days!!! MTV changed the word of music videos forever. Dire Straits, Peter Gabriel & Genesis were typical examples. It was great tv in those years. Now not so much anymore with all that reality shit and endless commercial breaks. Or I must be getting old.. or a combination of the two. Thank God for YouTube. And let's not forget to mention Captain Carter's Epic GLP Jukebox Thread, where not only the biggest variety of music is played, but people get together, have a great time, share all kinds of emotions, from silly stuff to love to comforting who needs it and friendships for life develop, like this Epic Earthquake thread is as well. The two best threads in the universe. I often wonder where Captain is, salute him every time and hope that one day he will make an appearance again. Sorry for the long two cents. But it truly is a feel good moment. Much love to Texas! Quoting: InterMezzo Thanks!! Amazing how I can remember the words to sing along to most 60's, 70's & 80's music...but can't remember people's names worth a darn! Or some of the things that happened last week...or yesterday... Music is a big part of who I am...luckily my kisd & grandkids recognize good music & like to listen to my classics. I DON'T listen to their rap crap, though!! My room (all 4 walls and 1/2 the ceiling) was covered in VH posters, pictures from Circus and other music magazines, etc. I freaking loved them! Still do, to be honest. Only real VH, not Van Hagar. no way, never. Also love Michael Jackson of course. Off the Wall was an early favorite of mine when I was still a little kid. My siblings are both a fair amount older so they were exposing me to a lot of good music when I was really young. |
