Do you open the link up on your phone with your location on? I think that’s how it works you can also set up a reminder in your calendar to remind you to go outside and look LOL
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 49465087 I legit already had apps for that! But yes, I opened your link on my laptop and then allowed my location to be known (which I don't normally do). It's a really cool app and you don't have to download anything if using a laptop. Thanks again! I love all things space. <3 How are things in FL? ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

You bear no responsibility for Mini's possible exposure, regardless of what that asshole said. And kudos to Mini for responding. That jerk will face his own round of karma, one way or another.
I'm glad to know your Mom is ok. And am confident that Mini will be as well. My prayers have been going up for good test results for all your family.
Hugs and lots of love from W Texas!!!!!!!
Quoting: justanothergranny Thank you granny! The prayers are needed. I'm a mess internally. I need to know that my daughter is negative. Part of me is blaming me now. I think I just need to go to bed. This shit is so heavy. Quoting: Simple27 Just remember, when the load feels too heavy to bear, it's because you're trying to carry a load that isn't yours to carry. Give it back to the Lord!! I understand the worry - I'd be going crazy. Don't add guilt to it. Be nice to Simple. Deal with the results when you get them. Love you, and the prayers are going non-stop! Quoting: justanothergranny Love that. Perfect. :) I will definitely update here as soon as I hear something. Family seems to still want me to be tested because I was also around my aunt a couple of times. Idk. I'm waiting on Hailey's results. If she's negative, I think I'm good. If she's positive, I'll push for a test I guess. I really don't want one, but obviously I will do it to put my family at ease. Thank you for the prayers and I love you right back lady! ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated Meteors from Halley's Comet to Light up Night Sky - Eta Aquarid Meteor Shower 2020Earth is approaching a stream of debris from Halley's Comet, source of the annual Eta Aquarid meteor shower. If forecasters are correct, the shower will peak on the nights of May 4th through 6th with as many as 40 meteors per hour.
The Eta Aquarids are best viewed from the southern hemisphere, but there's something special about them no matter where you live: "Each Eta Aquarid meteoroid is a piece of Halley's Comet doing a kamikaze death dive into the atmosphere.
The best time to look is during the hours before sunrise when the constellation Aquarius is high in the southeastern sky. Nominally, May 5th will be the most active morning, but May 4th and May 6th should be good, too. Halley's stream of debris is wide and spreads the display over three full days.
Although Halley's meteors shoot out of Aquarius, they fly far across the sky. All you have to do is lie down under a dark clear sky and look up. The shower be obvious even without the guidance of a star chart.
The naked eye is usually best for seeing meteors which often streak more than 45 degrees across sky. The field of view of most binoculars and telescopes is simply too narrow for good meteor observations.
Halley's Comet orbits the sun once every 76 years. Although the Comet is deep in the outer solar system at the moment and won't return to Earth until 2061, it treats us to a meteor shower twice a year as our planet passes by the debris cloud. In May we have the Eta Aquarids, and in October the Orionids.

Researchers have known for decades that earthquakes and tsunamis send waves of air pressure to the very top of Earth’s atmosphere. Up there, in the ionosphere, the waves scramble GPS signals and interfere with radio communications much like solar flares do. Earthquakes, it turns out, can mimic space weather. Getting really tired of this. I'd never break it, and I am glad I'm in no position to have the virus due to measures in place at home. I was also very lucky to have avoided it despite being in areas that exploded around the time I was there, but it is still fatiguing after awhile. And I do realize others are in much more dire straits.
I just want our old lives back. I just want to be able to grab an Arby's or Jack in the Box once in a while. That's the first thing I'm going to do once this whole thing is over with.
And we are nowhere near flattening the curve yet. |
