Your thread was a paradise on GLP and since some time every single day your thread is spammed with political shit! One thing is some off topic post. Other is every single day the same junk! Stouts are too "thick" for me. If I'm at a microbrewery, I tend to go for something hoppy - an APA/IPA/Pale Ale. Or when in doubt, a pilsner is always tolerable. Overall I'm not a fan of the wheat beers, hefeweizens, saisons, sours, or anything really dark/heavy. |

Climate Models Were Right Quoting: Arnie [link to www.sciencealert.com (secure)] Well, I'm sure most of us here are not shocked by this. Weather, in general, continues to get more extreme as times goes on. This part is pretty crazy though: "According to the data, the likelihood of a hurricane developing into a category 3 storm or greater, with sustained winds of over 177 kilometres per hour (110 miles per hour), has increased by about 8 percent every decade since 1979." |

I AM DRINKING THIS 'THING' SLOWLY KICKIN...THEY WANTED LIKE TEN BUCKS FOR IT. Quoting: UH 69741406 You should drink that slowly, based on the alcohol content! I also like a good kolsch, I knew I was forgetting something when I threw out that list. I know a fair amount about beer because, well, I've drank plenty of it in my lifetime. And being from the home of Anheuser Busch, beer is important to our history here, and therefore is a big part of our culture. We also have a TON of microbreweries here, like many other cities. My friends and I started this thing about 4-5 years ago where we pick a Saturday or Sunday afternoon approx. once a month and go to a different brewery. We have not repeated any, and there are still a bunch we haven't been to. And new ones keep opening, so there's no end in sight. One of our local breweries was recently awarded the 2nd best brewery in the WORLD. I've been there a few times. I like the place but I'm not a fan of their beers. They are not your typical microbrewery beers we noted above. I would consider it very upscale, fancy brewing - shit I've never heard of. Serious beer snobs wait in long lines outside this place long before the doors open whenever they have some sort of special cask debuting. Proud to have them from my area though, what an accomplishment. St. Louis is home to the #2 brewer in the world RateBeer, the beer ranking and reviewing website, recently named Maplewood's Side Project Brewing the No. 2 brewer in the world for 2019. The ranking comes from a compilation of more than 4.2 million customer and industry reviews. There were 33,000 brewers worldwide considered for accolades. [link to www.stlmag.com (secure)] |
