There's a lot of movement going on in all parts of CA right now, I can imagine many there can sense it. That has to be unsettling.

You should check the link below, you would probably be interested. This page of the site is for people who are "feelers", and get physical symptoms before major earth events. Mostly EQs, but sometimes big storms are mentioned too. It fascinates me, how they have come to recognize each symptom and what location it represents. The tiniest ache or pain in the oddest spot will mean something to them. It's so complicated, and to make it worse not everyone has the same symptom for the same location! After you check this page for a while you will think to yourself, "damn, these people must feel like shit constantly!". Ever since I came across that page I bookmarked it and have checked it regularly. They have amazingly good accuracy. Now, keep in mind their symptom doesn't always mean huge quake, it might only be moderate. But usually a stronger quake will mean stronger (and/or additional) symptoms.
[link to earthboppin.net]

Also, I recently came across this person's blog. [link to myseismicjournal.blogspot.com (secure)] I can't speak for her accuracy, I've only been checking it randomly for a month or so. I get the impression she's new to her symptoms and is still trying to figure it all out, so not much has come of it from what I've seen, but I'm curious to see if she gets better at it. I thought you would be interested because she's in CA somewhere, and that area is her sole focus.

Gotta be honest, I'm a little jealous. I love/miss storms
 Quoting: Vegz

I do love my storms. A true midwesterner at heart, I stick my head out during the worst of it to "see how bad it is". Takes a lot for me to go to the basement. Not that I don't take it seriously, I do, I just don't want to miss anything :)

Whoa, as I type this I heard noise outside. Storms here! Very derecho like! Headed to stick my head out now!!

Holy crap, this is quite a storm and it got here much faster than I thought, so that caught me off guard. Crazy derecho-like winds. After I posted that last time, I ran out back and saw half my patio furniture strewn about, as well as the trash cans. Power went out at one point but was back on within a minute. After several minutes of the insane winds, the rain started and now it's just sheets of intense rain. Sky is super dark and tons of lightning.

Now headed back to look out :)

Well crap, storms arriving sooner than I thought, and they look nasty! This is out in the burbs, about 25 miles from the city, where the NWS for STL is.

@NWSStLouis

Check out the shelf cloud approaching our office! If you live ahead of this line, prepare for winds around or in excess of 50 mph!

@NWSStLouis

Okay... We've outdone ourselves. Beautiful shelf cloud- take 2! Winds were estimated to be around 40 mph with the gust front. #shelfcloud
