Super cute! What kind of apples did you pick? And did you get plums as well? I would've thought it was past plum picking season. Quoting: KickinIt We could only pick apples today. Apparently plums, peaches, blueberries, etc. can only be picked on weekdays. Weird lol. So only apples but we got a variety of McIntosh, Cortland, Honeycrisp and Golden Delicious. Possibly others haha! We have SO many apples lol! They say plums will be available for picking the entire month of September (if they don't run out). They have a little farm stand store where they sell fresh fruits & veggies, jams, pies, donuts, cider...all sorts of goodies, so I grabbed some carrots, asparagus, celery and bell peppers. And donuts. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

I love going to local farms like that to pick whatever's in season and getting other stuff at their store. Basically what you did. Some years when we go peach picking (summer) it's way too hot for me so I don't pick at all, I just get all my stuff in the air conditioned store and pay a bit more while others go out and pick. We intended to go peach picking this year but it never happened. Not sure about apple picking yet, but we have plenty of time for that still. |
