Thank you for all of the updates. I am thinking that Hawaii will become Hawaii 2.0 for more lava flows.

Oarfish washed up in New Zealand. Location is the northern end of the south island. Someone in the comments also noted (w/photo) of seeing one about 10 miles NW of the same location 2 weeks ago.

Any scientists/marine biologists/deep sea fish masquerading as humans that can tell us what this is? ~3m long, silver stripes and spots depending on sun or shadow. Has long red forehead whiskers and 2 about a metre long from under pectoral fins protruding forwards with wavy bits at the end.
Maybe an oar fish?

For the first time in my entire 38 years, we sung happy birthday tonight to just nanny. Not nanny and papa. Just nanny. I've never sung happy birthday to someone who was crying before today. :(

s27_heart2

It hurts. It hurts all the damn time. Please prioritize your prayers, but please also keep my family in them. We're all still carrying a lot of pain daily.

verysad Days like these emphasize a big loss like your Papa even more Sim. There will be more "first time" days like this, sadly. But you know, there will also be a time that at days like that, the hurt of the loss has faded and will be replaced by the beautiful memories you all share together and there will be laughter again, also with nanny.

You have a beautiful family that is not afraid to show and share your emotions. You do not only carry the pain together, but also each other. That is a precious thing.

My heart goes out to nanny and all of you, always.

I was wondering the same, simply because of the location. Although I don't recall ever hearing about a correlation between whale beachings and eqs.

Haven't posted much but try to come check in every few days. All of you who have suffered losses this year are in my thoughts and prayers regularly. This has been a year like no other I've experienced, and I've been around quite a while! I keep praying that we've seen the worst of things, but I don't have much confidence in that. So all of you, my friends on here, will remain in my prayers and close in my heart.

Just a side note - it's been almost a year since the horrible drama over baby S. Can't believe it's been a year, and that so much more has happened! But she is thriving and doing well, thank God!

Much love & hugs from W TX!

PS - saw the posts about the EQ in CA and the fact that lots of reports said there were loud noises associated with the EQ. Booms, etc. We had a 3.0 EQ about 20 miles from here this past week, and according to the news reports, people reported loud booms during the EQ. And Dutch had said that he expected EQs in W TX as part of the EQ series that will affect the San Andreas. Guess the local one was one of those?????

Good news, Granny, God bless your family.
I have seen monumental change in our world in my life. It is surreal; we are in the end times of this age of His grace and it is indeed like birth pains as He said it would be. My prayers are constant for all here whether experiencing difficulties / grief / illness, or blessed with relative normalcy in these times. I pray that you will all be my family in heaven as well as here on earth.

:(

I did a little research to see if there were any dots that I could connect with this happening in that area. The last time such a large number of whales were stranded there was March 2009. [link to www.theguardian.com (secure)]

18 days later there was a 7.9 earthquake in the Tonga area. [link to www.emsc-csem.org (secure)]

I know it's quite a distance away, but I'm wondering if that entire general area had a disturbance buildup, so to speak, at the time. If so, that entire area should be on alert for a large earthquake in the next couple of weeks. Especially with the New Zealand oar fish in the mix. And planetary alignments. Yikes.

I hope they have at least as much success with the whales as they did in 2009. Poor things.

Sorry, I won't word this right. It's a hit and run kind of day!

The working theory is that whales, dolphins, etc. navigate somehow by some kind of sonar. I know they've been looking into submarines and the like interfering with their senses. There has been a theory that the disturbances caused by eq's could signal the beaching.

Again, apologies for the quickie, poorly worded explanation. I'm no expert, just an animal lover that found it troubling after seeing the oarfish posts.

Makes total sense, and I know whenever I read about a situation such as this with ocean animals my ears perk up. I just wasn't sure if that's been addressed in any research. It likely has at some point. Of course, the oarfish is denied by many as an EQ precursor, but I feel we've witnessed that correlation enough times that I fully believe in it.
