User ID: 79486392 Netherlands 11/27/2020 11:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yesterday while cooking, daughter burned her hand on burner. Not horrible just some small blisters over most of the pad of hand. Caused her a fair amount of pain overnight. Quoting: WhiteAngel This is me, as she is a klutz: :judy eye roll You might be wondering why I would even mention this, as we all get burns and we all know that first 24 hours HURTS! Well, I just wanted you to see being a klutz for her is normal. So she had a sleep over at her friend's house last night after dinner, Her friend shared our meal, kind of like an adopted daughter. They were going to head over here but my darling klutzy daughter slipped on the ice and end down hard on her skinny little butt!!! Since she was in severe pain and couldn't sit or move much, they went to the ER I am not sitting here waiting on word about her x-ray. Not much they can do for a broken butt but she is gonna hurt for a while one way or the other. :judy eye roll Oh no! The poor thing. :( I hope she feels better sooner than later. Nothing broke but they said it was moderately to severely bruise. How in the world can you see a bruise on an x-ray. Gave her some pain pills, a donut to sit on and said it could be a bit painful for 4-8 weeks. My baby girl ..... Damn, poor girl. Hope she heals fast cousin. Much love! |

You so deserved that. And I know it was a different one than the previous years, with loved ones missing. Yet, we make the best of it, always! Happy Weekend and much love to all of you. And know that blue skies are around the corner. Edit: before I forget, congrats on the new home ND. Looks like a great base to travel from once we get in better shape again! *vaporizes* Last Edited by InterMezzo on 11/28/2020 12:10 AM |

Let's hope it's not that serious. I'm sure she's in a lot of pain though. And that burn sounds awful too. She has small blisters on two fingers and of few tiny ones on the pad below the fingers. She said they still sting but nothing like last night. Thank you for the kind thoughts Oh sorry she is wounded. Praying for her. Klutz could be a stage. Hopefully she will get past it soon. |

Googled it, said I mixed the filling too long. I have not tried them yet, I think they’ll be ok. Got cool whip and salted caramel sauce to top, maybe pecans too. Huh, I didn't have that problem. They always fall slightly after you take them out because they poof up a lot in the oven. Well, I'm sorry that happened. They should still taste ok though, and that's all that matters! Cool whip would've been an idea too so mine don't look so boring, I didn't even think of that! I really half-assed the dessert this year. I miss my flan. They were delish, couple other little issues but I’m going to make them again and get it right. Good, mine were delicious too, we both really liked them. The gingersnap crust is key IMO because it adds flavor. How did your turkey turn out??? I'm dying to find out. That smoked turkey breast I ordered was SO GOOD. It was the best turkey I've ever eaten, and we might end up ordering that every year now! It was nice not to have to deal w/all the work that comes w/cooking the turkey (and clean up). Overall, I must say, a great Thanksgiving. Glad it worked out for you. I’m going to try the smoked turkey and I’m not waiting til next year, lol. Do you just heat the smoked turkey up or slice it cold? My turkey roulade was excellent. I took pics with the phone and was trying to figure out imgur earlier today To post here but had no luck. I did stuffed mushrooms tonight with extra sausage. They were yummy too. Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... I did stuffed mushrooms tonight with extra sausage. They were yummy too. Oh good, I'm glad your turkey roulade came out well. The turkey I bought was a whole smoked boneless breast. We heated it whole, covered in foil, on very low heat (175F) for an hour (we took it out of the fridge about 45 min. prior and brought it to room temp first). You want to keep the breast whole and heat it slow and low so it doesn't dry out. I think the internal temp you want to bring it to when reheating is 140. It's the best turkey I ever had. I plan to use some of the meat to make soup tomorrow, and will still have some left for sandwiches. Might have to freeze some of it. |
