Hey all! Been doing a little catching up.

We got the replacement optics for grandson's telescope yesterday. They were ordered a year ago. Went outside just now and he already has the telescope up & positioned for looking at the moon. We did the same last night. It was absolutely beautiful!

Am appalled by the FL building collapse. If the report about it sinking is true, hubby calculated that it might have sunk as much as 40 mm. But my GLP mind is still saying that it's pretty suspicious to see the whole thing collapse onto itself like that. Not even any debris in the swimming pool????? Bet we'll never know the full truth...

Heading to the condo next week. Am really ready for some cooler weather. It's been blistering hot here lately. We supposedly have a cool-down coming next week - one day it's only supposed to get into the 60's.

Wondering about the frequent EQs in W TX. They may be oil-related, and are out in the middle of nowhere. But they are getting bigger, and more frequent. And are in the general vicinity of known fault lines. Luckily they aren't close to me, although we have had some within about 15 miles since the first of the year.

You'll like the way it holds it's value. We have a 2012 FJ Cruiser, all red, with a cow killer on the front and a winch. Wife is little and doesn't see well out of it, so are going to trade it. We paid 31500 for it and it had 40,000 miles, it now has 102,000 miles, and it books for 26,700 - 29600, with a standard equipment package. I was thinking it was worth half what we paid for it, so was really surprised!

Having a hard time getting a view. Not in its normal spot and trees must be in the way.
