Wow!

Oklahoma got hammered!

Extreme Weather in USA on Wednesday, 03 September, 2014 at 03:29 (03:29 AM) UTC.
Description
Downed power lines and trees, broken glass and damaged roofs kept Bartlesville area residents busy Tuesday in the aftermath of storms that brought lightning, high winds and more than 2 inches of rain to the area overnight. Bartlesville Public Schools closed due to power outages and downed tree limbs that left classrooms without electricity and bus routes littered with debris. Bartlesville Mid-High School and Bartlesville High School sustained damage, as did Jane Phillips Medical Center and other businesses in town. Around 10,000 residents were without power in the county for a time, but no injuries related to the storm were reported. “We have pretty extensive damage all through the county,” said Melissa Pitner, Washington County Emergency Management Agency public information officer.

Simple,

Actually there was a 3.7 followed by a 2.9.

@ABC7: #Earthquake update: Eyewitness News viewers report quick jolt, no reports of damage.

Woot!!

I've been melting in my living room all night. Today was the hottest day of the year. Reached 93 degrees. But the humidity is what makes it feel suffocating...literally.

The AC in my bedroom has been on for 6 hours or so. Can't wait to snuggle into my bed with my blankets!!

I'm weird, I need a blanket to sleep. Even if it's just a sheet. Security thing I suppose. : )

A little concerned about the incoming storms though. Last I saw they should be arriving around 3:30am EST. Mini me is upstairs sleeping in her room. Hard for me to rest my head knowing we have storms coming while we'll be sleeping and she's a floor above me. *sigh*

But hopefully one of my multiple apps would wake me in time. tounge

Stay "cool" my friend!!

Today here in the O.C. it is currently 71 degrees but the humidity is at a suffocating 83% right now. I have had my fan going on its highest setting for the past 3-4 nights or so and it doesn't really help much.

I need at the minimum a sheet to sleep. I can't sleep without one either. You're not the only one! :)

Aaaahhh geeze. I hope the coming storms at least give you guys some sort of relief during the night, though.

I shall stay cool indeed. I'm not expecting my air conditioner to be delivered until next week or so. However, I did get free shipping on the 12,000 BTU unit I got - SCORE!!!

Hope you guys can try and stay dry, Simple! I know...it can be nerve wracking. At least you're not under the threat of an impending major earthquake!!

It doesn't look like that quake was in actual Hawaii...there is a region near Tonga that is called Hawaiian Islands by some earthquake sources.
