GAVE HIM SOME LEGAL ADVICE. BUT, B4 THAT, I TOOK A PEEK INTO THE GRAND JURY COURTROOM NEXT TO MINE AND THERE WERE PEOPLE IN THERE SO..I UH, CLOSED DA DOOR. SESSION WENT REAL FAST. JUDGE WAS AFFABLE AND DECENT. HE LOOKED LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN
JEFF BOZOS AND MILLS LANE. I WAS FIRST UP SINCE I WAS SITTING IN THE FRONT ROW/CENTER. THEY COULD NOT FIND THE CASE AT FIRST THEN SAW THAT IT WAS MOVED TO AUGUST 4TH. THE
JUDGE SAID LET'S GO NOW. COMMUNITY SERVICE WAS AN OPTION AND
IF I WANTED TO TALK TO THE PROSECUTION ABOUT ANY ISSUES THAT I HAD(WHICH I DID) IT WOULD BE SET FOR TRIAL. JUDGE TOSSED THAT BACK @ MHEE 'TWICE/2X'. I WANTED OUT OF THERE. SO, I UH
ASKED IF HE'D TAKE A "NOLO" AND HE AGREED. IT CAME TO 10HR. FOR THE FINE AS COMM. SER. SO...202.00 DOLLUH FINE FOR SLEEPING ON THE BEACH COMES TO 20.2 HRS OF COMM. SER. NOT 20

Good choice, that would've been a hefty fine! And 20 hours is nothing, that can be done quickly. Shouldn't be hard to find a place to offer some free work, I would either go for something you'd enjoy, or perhaps a place that you could make connections that might be able to help you out in some way in the future if needed??

I think you should do what they are asking and be done with it considering it's minimal. Sounds like the judge was fairly cool, but I'm sure he could be a real ass if he wanted to.
