was it a competition? how did they do?
Quoting: bigD111 Yes it was, and believe it or not, I have no reason to lie...they competed against 3 other teams. The previous competition which brought them to this one they competed against 5 other teams. That competition they won both 1st place and grand champions. This competion (out of 4 total teams, including them) they did not place. At the end of the competition the coaches had the score cards. There are 3 score cards. Each based on a specific category. The scores are computer-generated. All 3 score cards had the score scribbled out in pen with a new number hand-written in!! Total bullsh*t!! I'm hoping the coaches are going to do something about this, and I believe they are. There's nothing more heart-breaking than having your little girl cry on your shoulder because her team lost when you KNOW they were the best ones in their category. And then to find that crap out about the score cards. Disappointing to say the least. And no, I know, that is not THE most heart-breaking situation ever, but when you are living it, in the moment, and your child is crying, ughh it is truly heart breaking : ( Quoting: Simple27 That is too bad. Politics and favoritism are facts of life. Hopefully it will motivate them to be all they can be. Good luck to them! They really are very good! deplorably republican |

Quoting: M1.618 They were absolutely amazing!! Thank you for asking : ) I'd love to post the video of their routine, but I'm not sure that I want to do that here. I might though, on this thread only. Quoting: Simple27 Sweet! Please be careful, there are amazing people, but it is the interwebz... In zombie times...) I never understood band, or cheer leading until I lived in the US & met great people that were into it) regardless Your child kicked ass... That is enough. Like her team) To you... Quoting: M1.618 Screw it, I'm more proud than worried. Here is the video...please note, you may want to turn your volume down a tad. And I am NOT one of the parents screaming like a weirdo in the beginning! Also, please note, these little ladies are 10 & 11 years old. This is highly impressive for their age! ; ) Quoting: Simple27 Wow... That was awesome! I can't imagine the progress of their skills in time. Great performance) & encouragement. Go girls! I am not into sports but enjoy watching, grace, coordination, strength & agility... & cheerleading is one of those disciplines. PS. you were screaming on the inside... That was a kickass performance. Good on you both, the squad, team & coaching. Very cool) wmMmw |
