Interesting that the red line is staying in the C range. Remember when it never fell below the C Line. it has been so flat lined for so long....solar minimum is gonna suck

I don't use a micro much any more, not after Gomez told me about an experiment his boys did. Nuked plain water out of a tap and put it in a jug. Filled another with just tap water. Grew two plants - I think he said beans but don't remember. The nuked water = plant failure.

Since then, I heat my hot water in a tea pot - I don't drink coffee. When it gets cold, I add a little more boiling water. I need to find a hot plate for mugs, used to have one and it worked very well.

Not feeling great today. Grumble grumble.

Ya know that fluctuating, "I'm-not-the-one-who-deserves-being-laid-off" thingy-majigger? Yes. That one. I'm the one who always comes into work on time, and stays late. Makes corrections as necessary, has to take on THEIR work because they always make mistakes...

Yet, that same guy who comes in 15 minutes late every day, never stays late, makes mistakes ALL the time, doesn't implement anything I say in order to mitigate these mistakes, and doesn't stay after the end of the shift gets to keep their job.

I know it was financial, and he's likely making peanuts compared to me. But still...it gets my blood boiling.

Also, not feeling too great from being sick either.

Do you have a way to do something you want now that you wouldn't or couldn't have done before? Typically I like think of a nature related natural world kind of activity. Like maybe go camp a week some place you have never made it to - carve out some "Walden" time? I dunno.

I hate, hate my physical issue but if I did not get sick I would have stayed a type triple AAA and missed all the small things. Course I was a real bitch till I figured that out, lol.

I just hope you don't have to spend all your time worrying.

Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
Barack Obama was visiting a primary school in North Carolina and he visited a fourth grade class.
They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings.
...

The teacher asked the president if he would like to lead the discussion on the word - tragedy.

So our illustrious president asked the class for an example of a tragedy.

One little boy stood up and offered: "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him, that would be a tragedy."
"No," said Obama, "that would be an accident."

A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone, that would be a tragedy."
"I'm afraid not," explained Obama. "That's what we would call a great loss."

The room went silent. No other child volunteered. Obama searched the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?"
.
.
.
.
.
.
Finally at the back of the room, Little Johnny raised his hand......

The teacher held her breath.

In a quiet voice he said: "If the plane carrying you and Mrs. Obama was struck by a 'friendly fire' missile and blown to smithereens that would be a tragedy."
"Fantastic!" exclaimed Obama. "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?"

"Well," says Johnny, "It has to be a tragedy, because it sure as hell wouldn't be a great loss...and you can bet your ass it wouldn't be an accident either!"

I love little Johnny....applause2
