Whoo-Hoo, home from work, I get to work night shift for the next two weeks...suicide

I used to like night shift for one reason - "less Brass"
 Quoting: Little bird

When I used to work for the USPS, I hated and loved the 3rd tour. From 5pm until 1am. I liked it during the busy time of the year, November thru December. Lots of over time. In December it was not unusual to get the tour extended 3 hours. But the bad part. Living in the Seattle area, in November and December it's night time by 5pm. So for like a month, I'd never really see day light. Get up and it was getting dark. By the time at work, it was dark and getting off work it was dark. Then I'd be going to bed about an hour before sun up.

But back to "less brass". The plant manager for those hours was always up stairs on the 3rd floor, in his office. he'd do the walk around 2 times in an 8 hour shift. Compared to like 5 times during the morning, or afternoon shifts. Plus the overnight night plant manager was a bit more, well care free. He was ALWAYS out of the building at 1am. Even if there was overtime. So often, we'd have no boss boss. Also half of the supervisors would be gone too. It was a big distribution center. It's amazing how like 100 grown ass men and women can goof off with no one to baby sit. That was just in one area of like 15 areas.

One time there was a crate of basketballs, going to a jail. One "fell out". We all played 3 on 3. Had teams and all, did a mini tournament. I think we used a trash bin up walkway for the basket. With someone up there to toss back the ball.

Little Bird, I personally saw baby chicks just a few times. We cared for them. Sometimes it would just be one box, and the actual truck driver would walk it in and hand it off. Other time it would be several crates. The fork lift driver would be slow and easy.

We'd get snakes a lot too. But fuck snakes. They were in and out of the building fast track like, because that's how all live animal were treated. But not like we were extra genital with a crate or crates of snakes.

The best is when the UPS semi would come in. We were suppose to help, but we never did. Like 10 of us would stand around and just watch, like assholes. In the summer, make fun of their shorts and such.

Making fun of UPS reminds me of Jarhead Marines making fun of Squids(Navy) - yahahahaha - so funny, mock the working man/woman. That always annoyed me. :-)

So now we know, you mail mover types got a rivalry going . . . hmmmm

You must like those videos of the FedEx and UPS guys throwing boxes over the fence and stuff.

Been "missing" for 10 days. Now Putin shows up on a Monday. Is it really Putin? Reminds me of this movie.

I really do not believe its him.
Its just my gut.
I can remember being in a location overseas and seeing on the news that of course American troops were not in that particular location, not no way, not no how - and I was standing in that location in uniform watching that in a command post on a very large "out of the box" US Airbase.

I never believed any news source after that.
Yeah, I was weird before that experience, but I have been extra weird since that!

Is it just me? But if I haven't had a soda for a while, like 5 days or more. Then I get a Coke, RC or even a diet coke, I so enjoy it. But then I feel funny for a bit, like half an hour? It doesn't matter if it's diet or not. So, I think it's just dark cola. I go off and on sodas. Sometimes I don't have any for like a month. Then sometimes I have one maybe even two daily for a long time.

My faves are Coke, Diet Dr. Pepper, 7up, Dad's Root Beer. Don't ask why I like Diet Dr. Pepper, you all know I'm weird.

Now and then, I go down the Mexican isle in the store and grab a few cokes in the bottle, the ones with real sugar. THEY ARE SO BETTER. I don't know why the companies throw HFCS in all the sodas for us Americans.

I have been drinking diet coke for so long that five days really isn't much to me. Five days, ten days...so long as I'm drinking a healthy amount of water it doesn't really phase me much.

My faves are diet coke and regular Pepsi. For some reason I cannot stand the particular formula in regular coke. Diet coke is my go-to coke but I enjoy Diet Pepsi if I have to drink Diet Pepsi. And regular Pepsi. For some reason I am not so fond of regular Coke. Weird.
