Watch Oklahoma’s earthquake explosionThis map shows U.S. earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 and higher since 2000. Until 2009, earthquakes that people could feel were rare in Oklahoma. But by 2014, Oklahoma had more than three times as many earthquakes as California. [ link to www.revealnews.org (secure)] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Startled, he grabbed a gun and ran outdoors. In the pre-dawn chill, Sterling said, he found an odd scene: horses were galloping, cows mooing and dogs barking. "I heard a boom and felt the shaking," Sterling said. "It really upset me." More than a dozen weak earthquakes have followed in the seven months since in west Alabama's rural Greene County, and geologists are trying to figure out what is causing the seismic swarm in an area of the South more prone to tornadoes than earthquakes. Quoting: bigD111 Wow, it's cold there. It's been hot here. It's actually very comfortable this morning. In the 60's and will get into the lower 70's. That I like. Quoting: bigD111 Is that normal temps in the morning there this time of year? Quoting: Simple27 In the Seattle area (the whole Puget Sound region really), during June, July and into August. It's no unusual to be in the 70s or 80s. But if we have an onshore flow, and clouds from the ocean fill in the Puget Sound. Usually from about 3am on to when they burn off in the mid morning. We can start off in the low 50s. Then about 9am-10am once the clouds burn off, we climb into the 80s. You know, assuming we get into the 80s. There isn't always an on shore flow, but it sure is nice. But at the same time, weird in mid July to be out and about in the morning with a light jacket, then buy 1pm you're in a tshirt and sweating.
