Wow, it's cold there. It's been hot here. It's actually very comfortable this morning. In the 60's and will get into the lower 70's. That I like. Upper 80's and hotter with humidity I don't like.

But low 40's is a bit too cold. hf
 Quoting: Simple27

It will definitely bring out the goosebumps!
 Quoting: bigD111

Is that normal temps in the morning there this time of year?
 Quoting: Simple27

In the Seattle area (the whole Puget Sound region really), during June, July and into August. It's no unusual to be in the 70s or 80s. But if we have an onshore flow, and clouds from the ocean fill in the Puget Sound. Usually from about 3am on to when they burn off in the mid morning. We can start off in the low 50s. Then about 9am-10am once the clouds burn off, we climb into the 80s. You know, assuming we get into the 80s. There isn't always an on shore flow, but it sure is nice. But at the same time, weird in mid July to be out and about in the morning with a light jacket, then buy 1pm you're in a tshirt and sweating.
 Quoting: deanoZXT

Wow, ya, that's quite a jump in temps. Today was the first morning in a while now that wasn't already suffocating first thing. Okay, maybe not suffocating, but humid. Very humid. I love today's weather! Aside from the damn spraying...AGAIN. Ugh!

The Pacific Northwest gets very, very humid too. But it's not that "hot" sauna humid.

I mean, Western Washington has a couple Rain Forests you know. I'm not even joking, look it up.

Earthquake and Volcano Threat for USA Increases

Monday, June 8, 2015 Press Release 3-2015
9:00 AM EDT

In a rare letter to Mr. Craig Fugate, the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Space and Science Research Corporation (SSRC), has disclosed that we are about to enter a potentially catastrophic period of record earthquakes and volcanic eruptions throughout the United States.

The letter was signed by SSRC President, Mr. John Casey, and delivered to FEMA headquarters in Washington, D.C. today. In the letter, Mr. Casey outlines how the ongoing dramatic reduction in the Sun's energy output will not only plunge the world into a decades-long cold epoch, but at the same time bring record geophysical devastation in monster earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. These cold climate periods called "solar hibernations" or "solar minimums," are well known phenomena in the solar physics community. The SSRC has done important pioneering work in the field of solar- climate modeling and has established itself as a leader in climate prediction and the study of these hibernations of the Sun.

Citing new research included in the SSRC's semi-annual Global Climate Status Report (GCSR) to come out on Wednesday, the letter to FEMA's Craig Fugate contained an important warning for all major earthquake fault zones and volcanically active areas. The research focuses especially on the increased threat for the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ) between St. Louis and Memphis.

From the letter...

Therefore, we believe the well known high risk seismic zones and volcanically active regions in
the US, especially California, South Carolina and in particular the New Madrid Seismic Zone
(NMSZ) may experience major earthquakes or volcanism at any time between now and the
early 2030’s when the bottom of the next solar hibernation is reached.

Seems awfully quite on the earthquake front today.

I was just taking a look at USGS latest EQ's over 2.5 for today and they only have 4 EQ's listed in the entire world in the past 8 hours.

Does anyone else think that is unusually quiet?
